85% of My Television Viewing Is On FOX

Sad but true.
I don't watch much TV, I don't have cable. When I do get the chance to watch I prefer my shows to be exceptionally good or exceptionally trashy. No middle of the road. Fox gives me House (which I have grown to like) and American Idol and Meet Your New Mommy. I guess I wuld have an easier time justifying this if AD were still on. Still, they also give me Simpsons and Seinfeld reruns. I must also confess that I like Malcom In The Middle (mostly for the parents). The only other time I roam is to watch My Name Is Earl and the occasional Law & Order. Oh, and America's Funniest Home Videos. I seriously can't get enough of that show. Makes me laugh out loud everytime.

Yeah, old people LOVE that show. :-p

Ditto on the house though. Tuesday is pretty much the only time I watch non sports related programming. House at 9 and Boston Legal at 10. I will admit to watching Grey's Anatomy most Sundays. Thats it! No more!

24, American Idol, Cops, and America's Most Wanted for me.

Gave up on House some time ago... same with Bones.

Is this like some sort of Foxoholics Anonymous?

Yeah, I can see Bones & House conflicting with the viewing tastes of Americas Most Wanted & Cops.

I gave up on the two shows because of FOX's poor handling of their scheduling.

Plus, I plan on getting Season 2 of HOUSE on DVD. I like it in longer durations anyways.

Bones is the same shit every episode... so is HOUSE (almost) but Laurie makes it all worthwhile.

Yeah, Bones is crap.
On a related note, so is Grey's Anatomy but I like that it might usurp the throne of the King of Melodrama that is ER.

Wait, there's actual good stuff on TV besides Galactica?

You mean you've never experienced the pathos of Nanny 911?

The only thing I currently watch on Fox is King of the Hill.

I don't watch 24 because I started watching the show too late and it didn't hook me. I only got through the 1st season though, so I am thinking about giving it a second chance.

I watched a few episodes of House and although Hugh Laurie gives a great performance as the sardonic doc, the plot of every show seemed to follow the same general premise, much like NBC's now-cancelled Medical Investigation.

I was on AFHV back in the day.

How many of you can say you've been mocked on national TV by Bob Saget?

I'm SYNDICATED, BITCHES.

I don't watch FOX as much as I used to. Can't even bother to watch the Simpsons most days. But 24 is having its best season. Its actually entertaining.

In general, cable is much better than network TV. My favorite show on the big nets is LOST.

House will have to wait for dvd or re-runs for me, as it's timeslot currently conflicts with my religion: Scrubs.

My current network breakdown looks like this:

Fox: Prison Break, 24, American Idol
NBC: The Office, Scrubs, My Name Is Earl
ABC: Lost
F/X: The Shield

I haven't decided whether or not Big Love will become a regular show for me. Also, season 3 of The Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV is starting up again pretty soon. I also watch Good Eats all the time on the Food Network, but I usually tivo the late night episodes.

I started watching Bones, but couldn't really get into it. I don't like crime procedurals. I don't watch Law & Order or its progeny (although my wife loves the show in all forms) and I have never seen an episode of CSI or any of its spinoffs.

Also, any reality shows not based on the marketable talent of the contestants have no chance of hooking me. Singing? Ok. Fighting? Great. Choking down rodent sphincters? Click.

Granted, I did take the comments in this thread with the humor which was intended, but, out of curiosity, is FOX like a guilty pleasure or something? A lot of the biggest shows on recent Network TV have come from FOX: 24, The Simpsons, Futurama, AD, Prison Break, American Idol, Family Guy, House, Ally McBeal, The X-Files, The OC, That 70s Show, etc.

I realize a lot of those shows tended to voerstay their welcome but at their peak (some of which are still there), many of those shows were the biggest things on the air at the time, while the rest, while not ruling the ratings, were major players. FOX was the #1 Network in all key demos for the 2005-2006 season. I think that sort of takes it out of the "guilty pleasure" category.

Admittedly FOX's biggest flaw is it's scheduling practices, but their lineup is consistently kickass.

The Simpsons and Seinfeld reruns are syndicated, so would it make a difference if they were on the Fox affiliate or not?
