Personally I think that it is bullshit that in order to succeed as a female performer in the music industry today they all have to become essentially well-paid strippers. How the fuck can they expect to be taken seriously as singers like that? There's no respect given. I submit to you Tegan and Sara. Awesome female lead band, or Sleater Kinney for that matter. Personally, solo females have never done much for me anyway. I have no desire to see either of the above mentioned groups in their skivvies, but I like their music. To me Church's music is bleh. She's hot though.

See I understand certain young ladies wanting to do the sexpot thing. What i'm seeing a lack of is creativity and independence in these young ladies.

Gwen Stefani may not have the curves but she isn't afraid to look nice and usually does it in a much more tasteful manner (see also Shania Twain). I like a woman who doesn't have to show off and can be sexy in her own way. Granted Charlotte has it going on and more power to her but i'd rather see her in something more classy.

I think I get it, JD. They're blowing their wad (ahem) early, when they could get much more mileage out of some garments that give the right hints.

One thing that occured to me is that the shot looks like she's perfoming in some kind of stage production or something styled that way, with her in a burlesque costume. So this may or may not be her new thing.

That was my first thought too. Yeah the costume is sexy and sort of revealing but it's stylized. It's not leather chaps and red panties. May be a little quick to say she's going that route, plus she spent a lot of years doing opera and other classy things like that. Now she's grown up, got a very nice body and wants to do some sexier stuff. I don't see how that can be defined as "whoring it up."
