There's no way that's street legal. And if it is it damn well shouldn't be.

You could buy a brand new, fully loaded car for how much those cost. It'd be great to see someone buy those and then either a) have their car stolen b) have their car wrecked or c) have their car stolen with a note left saying someone stole their car because of these shitty looking hubcaps.. or d) have their car stolen with a note left saying someone stole their car because of these shitty looking hubcaps but leaving directions where they can find it smashed to pieces because you bought these shitty looking hubcaps.

if you listen to the video, it says you can do fool around with the software "while driving..."

These should come pre-loaded with a message that reads, "I'm an insufferable jackass."

"Oh God! The Smug cloud is forming! And it's going to collide with George Clooney's Oscar Acceptance Speech Smug Cloud!"

I saw something akin to this (much less expensive, and simpler) on the cabs in Hollywood when I was out there last year. Just rotating advertisements, they weren't upright all the time, but since you're going maybe 10 MPH max down the strip, they didn't spend much time missing. They operated the same way those 18-wheeler mileage counters did, which seems a lot less expensive than $19k.

I can't wait to see $15K worth of those things on a $6K Expedition or, even better, a $300 '81 Cutlass.

The lengths that people go to fuck up their cars astonishes me. Truly.

They actually ran a system like that on race cars several years ago. I think it was the Newman-Haus team in ChampCar that had them. They only lasted a couple of races. That type of thing is really ridiculous and would likely get you pulled over in a heart beat.

Not as bad as the whistle tips.

Now having both the caps and the whistle on a car, that'd be stylin'.

I like how that guy they interviewed who had it installed on his car broke three laws in a matter of seconds when he "showed it off". He went into oncoming traffic, sped, and ran a stop sign all within three seconds of each other. Not to mention he almost drove his car into that parked pickup truck. I also like how when he "showed it off" nothing was to be heard.

We made similar things as party favours for the Engineer's Ball years and years ago. You spun them in your hand like noisemakers instead of used them to pimp your fly ride, but the principle's the same. I'm glad someone used said principle to figure out a way to part fools from their money by catering to their egos.
