Because, obviously, if you say something on your blog, and then link to your blog in your signature on a message board, you must be really ashamed of it and not want anyone to know. That must be what makes it so hurtful when people cunningly seek it out, like extra awesome detectives, and share it with people on that same message board where you post with a link to your blog.
