In the vein of Singer's "Your Backyard" thread. Post pictures of your office!

Yeah okay so I got a new digital camera and I wanted to play with it. That's really why I started this thread. But still, it'd be cool to see where you guys spend the majority of your days.

Vader - It's the MLB on FOX Launch Kit. I wish it were an actual home plate, though.

Werbal - Geezus, vision like a freakin' hawk. And I got him in an eBay lot with the rest of 'em.

The first picture is the building I work in.

The fourth picture is the lab I manage in the evenings. I sit behind the desk on the other side of the long window.

That's the best thing any office could have.

Nice place to work, Joe...I love old brick buildings. We don't get much of that in Calgary because old is always replaced with whatever architecture is popular at the time. Even our old beautiful brick firehall, which was declared a historical building, is being incorporated into a new shiny office building.

Thanks...I'm a lucky guy.

Yours has that TV post-production feel to it; Beta SP machine, oscilloscope, 12 channel mixer...it's very self contained...plus all the cool Simpson's paraphanelia. Are you in the post industry?

No, I'm the Promotions Department (Manager, Editor, Producer, etc.) for a FOX Affiliate (hence all the Simpsons Schwag - VERY easy to get). The gear is my Linear Editor. My two Non-Linears aren't pictured. Cool thing is all the peripherals from my linear are also linked into my Non-Linear. The mixer controls both systems, the monitor is hooked up to each as is the record SP deck. It's all nice and, like you said, self contained. But damn the system you got is sweet.

Nice gig and nice rig...I'm all about having a linear and non-linear suite. Sometimes you just want the whirr of a deck plus it's a lot quicker if you are still receiving stuff in SP and you are doing news or quick turnaround stuff. I'm sure it's nice to have a steady pay cheque coming in as well.

I wish I could claim ownership of my rig but it's with a company that I freelance with but it's still great to work with. It has a SONY DMX R-100 automated mixing board, Pro Tools 6.something or other (just upgraded), Yamaha NS-10s for near field and Genelecs for surround, and the room is pretty close to accoustically perfect...which is good enough for what we do.

JG, I just thought a a great promotion for FOX. Send Jennifer Morrison or the junkie doctor from Prison Break to my house. I think it would be a great PR move.
