Ridiculous!

CANNES, France (Hollywood Reporter) -- Twelve years after his ill-fated departure from "NYPD Blue," David Caruso can now claim to be one of the biggest Hollywood stars in the world.

His sun-drenched crime drama "CSI: Miami" is a ratings smash from Berlin to Bogota, from Paris to Pretoria. Outside the United States, "CSI: Miami" tops "Lost," "Desperate Housewives" and even the original "CSI" to rank as the most-watched U.S. series around the world.

I believe it. I'm more of a fan of CSI miami now than I am of CSI.

Baywatch was the number one show in the world once, too.

I don't have any insights beyond this. This is all i got.

A damn shame.

I can see C.S.I. Miami for it's cheese value, but only in spurts. I can't imagine watching it on a weekly basis. Not without alcohol and a group of friends involved.

"I think I found my niche," Caruso said. "You say, well, you'll be on the show for another five years. I don't see it that way. I see it like, well, I get a chance to do my job for as long as they let me on this show: the daily pursuit of the scene. And that's what I got into this business for in the first place."
Spoken like a man who knows nobody wants to see him in movies. If he only felt this way 10+ years ago.

Atleast this proves the rest of the world is as dumb as America.

me and the wifey watch it for the pure cheese factor and to pick apart all the plot holes each episode has. i think i come to hate caruso and the show more and more each week, but its like some drug i can't pull myself away from watching. i think its just the mystery angle that attracts me and the wifey. the original is still the best since its got the better storylines and seems to take itself more seriously. its also more graphic than the miami one. i can't really watch the ny version since i know that they don't film in nyc and it just bothers the hell out of me. i keep noticing the environment they're in.

CSI: Miami is okay, but it's not a "must-see" show like the original CSI. In small doses, it's decent though.

I guess the key to having a popular worldwide show is to set it at/near a beach.

Yep.

All these CSI shows are seriously, uniformly brutal.

Las Vegas has hit another stride this season. Last season was a slow run downhill.

So does this mean we'll be getting eight more "CSI" shows?

I remember reading they used fucked up Nielsens to calculate this, though. Basically, they total everyone who's ever watched one episode of CSI Miami as part of their viewership. That allows their actual numbers to be way higher and much more skewed than the boxes.

Then again, I read about it in Entertainment Weekly, so it's probally--like me--full of shit.

this show is fucking hilarious. i love how caruso overacts as well as the rest of his cast. The chick from newsradio has nice bigguns to look at and the southern girl has a cute ass.

I am so sick of marisol - did they kill her yet?

still digging csi lv and getting into csi ny - love sinise

no one can fuck with the original manhunter - not even jonn jonzz

I've always wondered if David Caruso was deliberately hamming it up. The funniest shit is when he comes on screen and starts throwing out the Kirkisms.

so what I think...is... that we have a SNIPER!

tilts chin and stares into the sunset...
Please tell me someone else saw last night's episode, otherwise I'm going to believe I hallucinated the entire thing.

Duelling fucking snipers?? Are you shitting me? Way to grieve Caruso I swear he actually shifted a wrinkle when his wife died.

Cheers to a show so horrifically bad, that is just chock full of campy goodness, someone needs to MST3K this bitch.

Just bringing this thread back to life to let everyone know it still is a really bad show.

I have no idea how this show is so high in the ratings. The storylines are so unrealistic, the actors are horrible, and the plot has so many holes. I watch CSI LV and love it, then i watch this one and just laugh.

Maybe it's because it is the best looking show in high def.

I've been binging on CSI: Miami in the past week. I watched 3 episodes in one week last week and this show never fails to entertain me.

Dammit Horatio, why you gotta be so smooth?

CSI: Little Rock didn't work out because everyone in Arkansas has the same DNA.
