The Toronto Blue Jays 2006 Thread

the jays season started out as good as i could've asked for. doc was terrific tonight and all the new guys chipped in towards the win. the jays always seem to hit santana fairly well but it's always good to see your team manage 10 hits against him.

it was awesome that rios started the year with a bang. he hit every ball on a line. we need him to step it up and be what every baseball analyst predicted out of him. the power numbers are slowly coming. if he can keep it up hopefully the jays will platoon hinske with johnson instead.

my "russ adams for mvp" campaign started off brilliantly! another error for the stud. the jays middle infield is going to be a problem all season long. they're probably going to have to bring in a vet who's good with the glove before the season's over. hill has no experience playing second base.

with all the great addition's, the jays have a chance to make the post season. burnett and glaus have to stay healthy and wells needs to hit the way he did 3 years ago. it's a lot to ask for but i'm pretty optimistic everything can possibly work out.

Just got back from the opener. Definitely the most exciting baseball game I have ever seen personally. Over 50,000 fans, the place was absolutely electric.

BJ Ryan OWNED the ninth.

WOO! only 2000 games to go.

I remember a few years ago with both the Raptors and the Leafs going deep into the playoffs and playing on the same day as the Jays, laughing hilariously that someone would ever want to go to a baseball game.

Now, they're the only sporting hope my city has now.

Electric was Game 6 of the '93 series. Yesterday was great, though, the best vibe in a while. I don't hold out much hope without Burnett, though.
