Look-alike / act-alike file - Page 16
I see some Michael Sheen and David Tennant genes in him too, probably some Adam Scott aswell.
See, I immediately thought of Sharlto Copley.
In the act-alike category, George Sanders's Scott ffolliot in Foreign Correspondent and Trevor Howard's Major Calloway in The Third Man both come across with a similar (and very British) cool detachment to the dramatic events that get those movies' respective American protagonists so riled up. Though they each come to it from very different places: ffolliot from an above-it-all, lighthearted insouciance, Calloway from world-weariness. I suppose a world war will do that to you.
Oh yeah, can totally see the resemblance.
I was doing research for a snarky Antonio Sabato Jr joke and realized that not only is he not Lorenzo Lamas, but that Lorenzo Lamas is like 14 years older than ASJ.
Anyway, long story short, you don't get a killer joke about Renegades (non) star Antonio Sabato Jr. But should Lorenzo Lamas go off the deep end, I've got a sick Renegades-themed burn filed away.
I have taken to falling asleep to episodes of Scrubs again... last night His Story was on and in a half asleep stupor I had to IMDB whether or not Dr. Cox's shrink was Anthony Bourdain.
So, Eric Bogosian and Anthony Bourdain not only look alike but goddamned they sound just alike.
I don't know if it's that I've never been more attracted to Harry Hamlin, or less attracted to Rachel Bilson... but either way, fuck you, DT!!! Can't unsee.
I saw Star Trek III for the first time the other day, and Captain Styles, the dickish captain of the Excelior, immediately reminded me of Craig T. Nelson, except he didn't have CTN's unmistakable voice.
Turns out it's actually James Sikking, the dad on Doogie Howser. I guess I was getting my early-'90s-TV wires crossed. But I did successfully spot Miguel "Bob Morton/Alfred Rosenfield" Ferrer on the Excelior's bridge crew, which is funny since I'm doing a Twin Peaks rewatch right now.
And I was shocked to learn that the Klingon Maltz (Christopher Lloyd's right-hand man and the only Klingon to survive ST III -- "You said you would kill me!" "I lied.") was played by an unrecognizable John Larroquette!
