Arguably more act-a-like than look-a-like, but Liev Schreiber in SPOTLIGHT gives off a strong Sydney Pollack vibe.

The older Jeff Goldblum gets, the more he looks like Alan Napier (Batman tv's Alfred)....

Iain Glen and Sebastian Koch look very much like each other and like 80s/90s Powers Boothe

Never really occurred to be me before, but if Christian Bale and Eric Bana got together and had a baby...

The kid would probably turn our like Matt Bellamy from Muse.

I don't know if this has been mentioned in the movie's pre-release thread, but I'm not taking the time to look over it.

Henry Cavill in this poster and Iko Uwais.

See, I immediately thought of Sharlto Copley.

Woody Harrelson in the final episodes of True Detective looks remarkably like Steve Carrel in Foxcatcher.

Olivia Munn and Aubrey Plaza.  They seriously look like they could be sisters.

When bearded Nick Offerman knits his brow, I keep seeing Orson Welles:

In the act-alike category, George Sanders's Scott ffolliot in Foreign Correspondent and Trevor Howard's Major Calloway in The Third Man both come across with a similar (and very British) cool detachment to the dramatic events that get those movies' respective American protagonists so riled up. Though they each come to it from very different places: ffolliot from an above-it-all, lighthearted insouciance, Calloway from world-weariness. I suppose a world war will do that to you.

The Jesse Ventura biopic I desperately need.

I just knew that was gonna be a picture of Jeffrey Dean Morgan..

If Mark Strong and Kim Coates were brundlepodded, Anthony Bishop would emerge...

And if you could bottle up ScarJo's husky voice with Aubrey Plaza's apathy, you'd get Stephanie Beatriz...

My daughter was watching the LiLo Parent Trap (we both prefer the original BTW), and looking at Natasha Richardson, I kept thinking how much she reminded me of Emma Thompson...

Paul Rudd plus Mike Birbiglia (minus Judd Apatow)

equals Travis Fimmel

Huh. I can totally see that.

Also, Sebastian Stan looks like Mark Hamill. Google it - it's fucking weird.

Not just in the looks department, but Amy Sedaris and Tracy Ullman seem to be cut out of a very similar comedy cloth (over the top awkward characters)...

Young Kate McKinnon

I was doing research for a snarky Antonio Sabato Jr joke and realized that not only is he not Lorenzo Lamas, but that Lorenzo Lamas is like 14 years older than ASJ.

Anyway, long story short, you don't get a killer joke about Renegades (non) star Antonio Sabato Jr.  But should Lorenzo Lamas go off the deep end, I've got a sick Renegades-themed burn filed away.

Mike from Stranger Things or the doll from The Boy?

Rachel Bilson looks like a young Harry Hamlin, circa Clash of the Titans.

I have taken to falling asleep to episodes of Scrubs again... last night His Story was on and in a half asleep stupor I had to IMDB whether or not Dr. Cox's shrink was Anthony Bourdain.

So, Eric Bogosian and Anthony Bourdain not only look alike but goddamned they sound just alike.

Just imagined an alt universe Under Siege 2 where somebody does finally beat Casey Ryback in the kitchen.

I don't know if it's that I've never been more attracted to Harry Hamlin, or less attracted to Rachel Bilson... but either way, fuck you, DT!!!  Can't unsee.

I always thought Rachel Bilson ( from the neck up anyway) had a Brigitte Bardot thing going on. And young Kate McKinnon there looks like Hayley Mills to me.

Deep cut

Austrian composer, Hugo Wolf

English acting scion, Toby Stephens

I'm afraid I'm not directly familiar with Hugo Wolf. Was his life interesting enough to warrant a biopic?

If so, that's a job for Hugh Jackman.

I say let them both play the part.

Everyone's life is interesting enough for a biopic. Especially if you make stuff up about them.
Why not cut out the middleman? A movie about a movie starring Hugh Jackman and Toby Steohens with Hugh as Toby and Toby as Hugh? (Call it Toby or Not Hugh Be?)

I saw Star Trek III for the first time the other day, and Captain Styles, the dickish captain of the Excelior, immediately reminded me of Craig T. Nelson, except he didn't have CTN's unmistakable voice.

Turns out it's actually James Sikking, the dad on Doogie Howser. I guess I was getting my early-'90s-TV wires crossed. But I did successfully spot Miguel "Bob Morton/Alfred Rosenfield" Ferrer on the Excelior's bridge crew, which is funny since I'm doing a Twin Peaks rewatch right now.

And I was shocked to learn that the Klingon Maltz (Christopher Lloyd's right-hand man and the only Klingon to survive ST III -- "You said you would kill me!" "I lied.") was played by an unrecognizable John Larroquette!
