500 Best movie music pieces

Thread Starter
I wasn't sure whether to put this in Drafts & Lists or Music, but I figured, hey, it's movie-oriented. Anyways, let's do this just like the Our 500 Best Songs thread. You can post one movie score track a day. Put your number in line, the composer, the track title, and the movie it's from. Even if this peters out before we hit 500 at least it's a great way to find cool new soundtrack songs. I'll start with the obvious:

1. The Imperial March, by John Williams for Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back

2. A Different Drum, by Peter Gabriel, for PASSION (THE LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST)

3. Zaar: Peter Gabriel- The Last Temptation of Christ.

I highly, highly recommend Georges Delerue's "version" of this piece. While Stone was intent on using "Adagio," Delerue had a chance to write something with a similar feel (which of course was never used). It can be found on a couple of releases, Varese's LONDON SESSIONS VOL. 1 and their 2 disc GREAT COMPOSERS series Delerue release. It's gorgeous.
