I get more spam from here than any other domain. Is there a way to remove these people from Earth? I mean, they're only Italian.

That is why Outlook and Thunderbird have filters. Just add one to delete any mail from that domain automatically. You'll never be bothered by italians again, unless you forget to pay them their protection money.

I can't get filters to work properly in Thunderbird. I set them up to sort my mail into different folders, to keep all my work in the right place, but they all ended up in the main Inbox and I have to do it by hand.

Kind of annoying, as that's the one feature from Outlook that I liked.

Thunderbird filters are working fine for me.

Are you setting them up by subject or sender?

Sender.

Try using the "Contains" instead of the "Is" operator. The "Is" gets knocked out if someone has or doesn't have their name as part of the e-mail address. The contains doesn't care where the text is, so seems to works all the time.

Also, just in case, make sure you have the latest version (1.5).

It's also annoying that you can't right-click on a message to set up a filter.

You could also use Gmail as a spam filter. Apparently it works very well. See here

Except for 'Tuff Enough'. That was fabulous.

I found Thunderbird all too quick to take the loss for the X-Men.

GMail is still in Beta. I think you still have to be invited by someone who has a GMail account. Anyone interested in one, PM me with your e-mail address, and I'll zap you an invitation. The SPAM filter does work pretty well, but you end up getting a few cans of spam there by some google address lookup the spammers are using. And of course, you have to actually want to have and manage another e-mail account.

Well... technically you could have you account taken care of by gmail and then set up a thunderbird client to pull down email from that gmail account.

I find it just as good, if not better, than Boonesfarm or Mad Dog 20/20.

Er, that was the point of the link I posted.

You still need a GMail account to do it. I use thunderbird to manage it, and my other 7 e-mail accounts, although don't forward my other accounts through GMail to use their spam filter.

Yes, I know. I was pointing that out for the others in the thread.

I've found Thunderbird to be the lamest Zelda boss ever.
