Not the most elegant post ever, but it's hard to deny that statement. I love just spending hours on YouTube just to see how many shows from my childhood I can find. And you need to fix the link btw

Agreed. I still think The Joshua Tree is their best album. But The Unforgettable Fire is right on its heels.

YouTube is fantastic, but sooner or later:

A) They're going to start charging some sort of fees (which I wouldn't mind too much if it was a very low monthly thing)

B) They're probably going to be pressured into policing the content more vigilantly to eliminate high profile copyrighted material

They already do B) a lot from what I've heard.

They seem to be pretty fast at removing the awful snl rap videos. Never thought I would be a proponent of copyright enforcement.

Amber McArthur had an interview with one of the creators of YouTube on her podcast and he said they are going to be implimenting a feature that limits the length of time your video can be to 10 minutes. He said that the idea behind YouTube was to create a play where people could submit their own homemade videos and that 10 minutes is more than enough time to get your point across.

They already make that difficult. But there's still plenty of full TV show episodes around.
