Pinky and the Brain on DVD

July 25th. And, apparently, Animaniacs is hitting the same day, but I havent seen anything official for that yet.

Good news on its own. Better news if this hails the coming of Freakazoid DVDs

Freakazoid was the only show of the three that really held up. The others were far too at the lash of "Oh, I'm so CLEVER!" writers, and had some extremely spotty animation a good portion of the time.

Rockin' good news on 'Pinky and the Brain'. And I'll also chime in with the love for 'Animaniacs' and 'Freakazoid'. Now, if they would only release 'The Tick' animated series on dvd...

THANK YOU! That made my day. I hope it's the entire run of all 3 seasons.

It made mine as well. It would make sense to release it all at once, there were only thirty something episodes. So of course they'll do 3 volumes instead.

Man, I loved Freakazoid! It's still funny to watch a decade later.

Did Dan Castellaneta voice The Tick?

No, the Tick was voiced by Townsend Coleman.

Also, Animaniacs is a go, though I only have a link to the cover (should be the second one down in the gallery).

Freakazoid is one of my all-time favorites. It started out as a bit of a Mask wannabe, but once it dropped all pretense to story and let its writers loose, it was gold.

"Son, you are dumber than a bowl of mice."

Freakazoid was also the only one of those shows that seemed like it wanted to be a cartoon, rather than a lazy collection of pop culture gags and obnoxious film parodies.

Yeah, those fucking pigeons were stupid.

That was Animaniacs. Pinky and the Brain was smarter than that., even though that show's good days didn't last more than a season and a half.

Here's the Amazon linky. And it's due the same day as P&TB, 7/25. So there's twice as much cash out of my pocket.
