I have supressed all memories of that show until reading this thread.
The long forgotten horror i felt watching Dr Who remove his head while wearing a shitty suit stuffed with straw is far more disturbing than anything Event Horizon managed to conjure.

That is definitely true I'd concede that....

Cement Horizon wanted to be Alien... but had neither the talent or the style to pull it off....

Event Horizon came second (but by a big distance) to the Cygnus (The Black Hole) in the totally implausible spacecraft interior awards.

I'm still trying to work out what that gigantic mid-section corridor was for.
