Who else is watching this?

I didn't think that a second season would be as entertaining but boy was I wrong!

How about that rogue wave in the last episode? That shit had to have been scary as hell.

My wife and I love this show. How about the guy quitting and saying that he was going to jump off the ship? I agree, I think that this season is really good so far.

Yeah, that guy was crazy. I loved how he said he'd never come back to the sea or at least see it in the same light.

YES! It's nice to see others are enjoying this show as much as I am. I was concerned that the imposed fishing limits since last season would take away from the competition aspects of it, but it's been really compelling.

The last episode was terrific from start to finish, and even though I'm a 24 fan, the ending was my favorite cliffhanger of the week. Sig Hansen rules over all with an iron fist.

I’ve been watching it. Pretty interesting TV. When it comes to documentaries I’m usually into something where I learn a little more, but there is something compelling to Deadliest Catch. I think for me it is the realization that beyond just paying the bills, a lot of the people involved appear to be addicted to that type of work. Maybe it is the thrill/danger aspects of it or the freedom of that type of work that gets them hooked, I don’t know. Still cool stuff. The moment that had me the most nervous was when the one boat had an engine let go and had to make it to shore before the big storm hit. If they would have been caught out there on one engine they probably would have been screwed.

That kid hitting the side of the boat after he swung was hilarious. And frightening.

Last night's episode was freezing us to death. Sig and the cod (Sounds like a siotcom on Fox) was pretty amuzing and seemed a bit out of place, but that's life.

For some reason my TiVo didn't record it. Nothing else but The Real World was scheduled, which is odd. I'll have to make sure I catch one of the reruns.

Caught this one yesterday afternoon.

The cod material was a nice insight on what other fishing is available during the season. I thought it was interesting that there is no limit on the catch you can bring in.

I think there is an overall fleet wide limit, but no limit for each individual boat. Kind of like what they showed in the previous season of the show. I just took a look at the Discovery Channel site for the show and it says that Sig has been captain of the Northwestern since he was 22. Can you imagine letting any 22 year old you know loose on the Bering sea in command of a fishing boat?

Back then when he started? Yes.
