The interface and ease of use on the site is still shit, but it's good that something like this was avoided.

Lately it seems like a lot of sicko looney-toon fucks have a MySpace account which are the subject of attention after the shooting spree or pre-cannibal homicide, or a victim met their murderer or molester on MySpace (given the number of girls, many quite young, who are willing to publicly divulge personal info or revealing pics on the site.)

There's really nothing bad about MySpace (aside from the often awful pages), but it's a popular website/community and a small portion are bound to be sickos or victims. It's something that's been noticed by the media and parents, so they're doing their usual overreacting.

This is just one week after a guy used My Space to lead a 10-year old girl to him where he killed her and planned to eat her. That happened in the town south of me (like 5 minutes away from my house).

One good thing, one bad thing. The internet can be a dangerous thing for the overly innocent.

MySpace is a great website. I love using it to keep in touch with my friends. And since I have a large group of diverse friends and we're all big into the nightlife here in Chicago, it's a great way to keep track of what's going on.

If some fucking idiots screw it all up for us peple who actually use it for what's it intended for then I will be very mad indeed.
