I still occasionally laugh out loud just thinking of "To me, my Temos."

I have a great swell of pity for whoever has to conjure up the horrors of the Copperlocke saga.

Hammerhead, you are a god amongst insects.

The only one I got was the epilogue, because when I signed on in January 2006, that was towards the end of fabfunk's venture here. Now he's back, but he's a stand up gent who's using his second chance for good.

What?! Fabfunk is back?

I just laughed out loud. So great.

I missed the first round of Reputation, but was here for the 'green box' era so I get that. And I remember the "Millette is bald" meme, the Nation's Punched, and Devin's 'classic' avatar. A number of the referenced Chewers are still around, but I missed out on Copperlocke and Shane (probably for the best). I forget who used to be FreeRobotSex. No clue on Temos, Gusset or Gigolo Joe.

Although I did just notice that one of the perks of the new forum is full post histories, so i guess they're not impossible to look up.

Howard was Gigolo Joe. He's still here, he's a mod.

that was amazing. thanks.

Ahh, Temos. The original fleed. I'd forgotten about him.

For those of us not around in those days (or who didn't read as heavily), can anyone sum up the Temos situation?

I vaguely remember him as fleed prime. Only with a penchant for Chuck Norris films rather than Hasbro ads.

Yeah, he's back, under his real name. I never had a problem with him before, and he would post in The B-Action Thread as Kabong, then they kicked him out, and now they let him back in, and he's doing great. Not like he was as fabfunk way back.

I barely remember Temos, and yeah, I remember Devin's "classic" avatar where he was holding popcorn and a drink. I still find it hard to believe someone was "duke fleed prime". No one else can be duke fleed, but duke fleed.

don't man. just don't. I just did and wow, was I a retard. No wonder Milette gave me the dressing down that he did.

Yep I'm still here.  Turtle power came from  a thread I had started about a gopher turtle I had acquired along my fence line.  They are a protected species here in Florida.

Heart!

I KNEW that was coming, Diva! And I was almost positive it would come from you.

I can't believe I missed this when it happened, it's genius.

I smell a sequel coming.

Can this not happen please? The pot has been stirred too much already.

I shall respectfully set aside CHUDway Danny Rose for another day.

Ha, yeah, it makes more than a modicum of sense, actually.  It's a pretty great allegorical depiction of what things were like.  It's really like the CHUD Bible, isn't it?  And Hammerhead has rescued this sacred text from obscurity.  Hey, we all need myths to live by.  We are Chewers, and we now have an allegorical model to reference-- we're like the early Christians, in that way.

To wit, see my post from earlier today as a funny coincidental reference to this CHUD mythos.

And since we're all wallowing in the aftermath of Easter, I'd like to point any interested folks to this post of mine from earlier today, also strangely relevant to this fun theme.

I'm personally still a big fan of Devin's writing, and I enjoy reading his thoughts daily over at BAD.  But I have come to realize that CHUD remains vital.  Renn is an awesome writer, and I'm digging Elizabeth's voice as well, now, and of course Zombie Nick is to be commended in the highest way possible for maintaining this site and improving its functionality with the re-design.

Long live CHUD!

What's the problem with bringing this back? A documented illustrative history chronicling the ups and downs of this place. Plus, the MS Paint is fun. It brings on the smiles and makes people feel good.

If anything, it shouldn't be a Broadway Danny Rose parody. I was thinking something more along the lines of Gangs of New York.

Yeah, this is classic. I don't see it as a blight on CHUD's reputation. We all need to not take ourselves so seriously all the time.

What about Children of Men style?
