Jeff Smith interview -- in comics form...

"Bone" cartoonist Jeff Smith drew his answers to questions about the full-color Scholastic re-launch of his book, Captain Marvel, and more in the latest CulturePulp comic strip:

CulturePulp 50: The Jeff Smith Interview

Biggest geek-out of my short career when he agreed to do this. Seriously.

That's pretty cool. I wish there was more of it. The news of Bone coming out in color actually kind of saddens me, as it means I might be back in the position of continually waiting for the next book to come out. I thought those days were behind me.

That was fantastic. I've always been a huge Jeff Smith fan, but haven't kept up on current events with the man.

So, Christmas shopping for my nine year old.  He is about halfway through the Bone saga from the library.  I was thinking of getting him the B&W one volume.  However, the reviews on Amazon say the paper is thin enough that you see the art from the next two pages through each page.  Anyone own the single volume and have an opinion?  I don't think I am down for dropping $100 for the 20th anniversary color single volume.

*EDIT*  NVM, found all nine B&W TPB for $20 less than buying them individually.
