Ricky Williams smokes his career away.

So Ricky Williams just got suspended for the entire 2006 season.

I would feel bad for the Dolphins but they knew exactly what they were getting into when they brought him back.

So does anyone think this guy has any chance of making a return for the 2007 season.....and how many times does this guy blow a drug test before he's just told not to bother coming back.

Hey didn't Ray Lewis kill a man just to watch him die then come back and win the Superbowl the next year? How many games suspension would that get you?

This was probably just a ploy by Williams to get out of having to pay back that big signing bonus when he "retired."

Next stop: the CFL.

The positive drug test was for some kind of amphetamine, which MIGHT have been something less worrisome than marijuana, or it could have been a performance enhancer. The fact that his appeal was denied points towards the latter, but I wonder if it'll be publically disclosed.

As good as Ricky can be, this isn't a monumental loss now that the Fins have Ronnie Brown. That swoosh sound you just heard was Brown's fantasy stock skyrocketing.
