Good to have you here.

Hello everyone. I've lurked around these parts for quite some time. Seems like a cool place, so I thought I'd sign up.
welcome aboard Ben! see you around the boards.
Welcome, Ben!
Another one of the riff raff that Nick's finally letting in. I've been reading the site pretty much since the beginning, and lurking the message boards for the last few years. Glad to be able to finally jump in and (hopefully) contribute something worthwhile to the boards. I'm looking forward to interacting with all of you Chewers who have provided so many hours of enjoyment, especially at work. Alright, that's enough ass kissing for a first post, n'est-ce pas?

Always good to have another Canadian here! Welcome to the boards Senor MacPhisto!

Roland Zevon, Skrag, Macphisto, BenShultz, Welcome to...CHUD.COM!
Howdy!

For years, these forums have served as the entertainment section of my morning coffee reads & it's great to finally have an opportunity to partake!

Cheers, all.
It's been a while since I posted on any kind of forum, so I figured after five years of lurking here, I might as well jump in the deep end. Certainly gives me something to do as I lay awake at 4 in the morning.
Art and Resistant, welcome to the boards.
Been a follower of CHUD since I was in middle school. Now that I've finally got hair in all the right places, I decided to join the boards. Love this community and hope to be a favorable addition to the ongoing discussion.

Welcome, new Chewers!
Hey guys, I've been lurking these boards for a long time now. I'm always fascinated and entertained (and certainly educated) by all the discussions going on here. I'll try not to embarrass myself too badly.
Hi folks.

Here occasionally to talk movies, and not make trouble.

From what I have read from Ryan, I think he was actually compilmenting you, but I'm not 100% sure. Also, welcome.

p.s. Don't be so sensitive.

From what I have seen from MST3K, I think rowsdower was making a reference to the episode where he got his namesake. But I'm not 100% sure.

p.s. This post-script is here so my post more resembles your post.

Heh, I din't know the reference, cuz Im stoopid. Thanks Patrick.

So, I forgot to jump in here to introduce myself when the forums opened back up, so I'll get it out of the way now: Yes, I have read this site religiously for a few years, including just about every thread here. I feel like I'm at least a little bit unique here, as I'm 19 (I know, teenagers suck), a Conservative and *gasp* a Christian. But I won't be arguing or forcing opinions, I can tell you that. I'm just here to talk film, games, literature and whatever else here with my fellow film lovers. It's good to finally be a member, I must honestly say.

(There. Now back to the Red Dead Redemption thread).

Patrick is indeed correct. I was referencing the episode of MST3K from which I took my username.

The boards could use more level-headed* Conservatives and Christians, so welcome aboard! And yeah, videogames are snazzy.

*keep in mind most of us are godless heathens. And watch out for Patrick.

Level-headedness is something I take pride in, so no worries there. And thanks for the welcome. Like I said, don't expect me to be starting any huge discussions on the big issues, just let it be known that when it comes to video games I like, I tend to exaggerate their greatness a bit. It wears off.

That being said, I've officially taken care of my intro now, I do believe, so on to the next!

Good thing, too. You'll have plenty forced upon you, especially after revealing your religious beliefs. Well, more like the same opinion over and over.

It's good to have you, Matthew! Welcome, welcome, to all new arrivals.
There's some of the smarmy "Look how dumb Christians are, I'm so smart for being an atheist" type atheists here, but most are pretty cool. If you don't want to get into a debate about religion or politics, just don't get into a discussion about religion and politics. I stay out of the political forum all together. It's easy.
I plan on staying far away from them, Patrick. I actually attend a Christian college that has a lot of atheists, so I'm well aware that there are a couple different kinds. Most of them are really cool people, but there are this select few that are for some reason cocky about their religious beliefs/lack-thereof. I don't worry about it, though, and, like I said, you'll only find me talking media 99% of the time.

Hello.

My name is Tony.

I like to double space.
My name is Mike and I've been lurking for about a year, so I decided to take the plunge. I'm from Connecticut, but am currently attending Boston University. CHUD has turned me from a casual movie fan to a true fan of cinema. I haven't seen enough of the classics to truly call myself a movie geek, but I'm working on changing that.

Welcome!
Hello All, I'm a reader since the beginning but finally decided to join the best damn message boards of the best damn movie site instead of being a lurker. I'll be sitting in the corner quietly unless I have something to contribute. Carry on.

Welcome Brandhay! Glad to have you.
Hello brandhay! Welcome mate!
Hi, I'm Dalai Llama, and I'm a lurker. It's been... several hours since my last lurk, but now I hope those dark times are behind me.

So Renn's self-description basically applies to me as well, though I know even less shit about shit than him. I'm honestly kind of in awe of and maybe a little intimidated by how so many posters here have such extensive knowledge of film. But I love movies, and I'm raring to catch up, so just be gentle with me.
I'm right there with you Dalai. Welcome!
Good to have you here, top notch work on finding the introductions thread too! (someone should sticky it)

EDIT: PS Welcome, Brandhay!

So yeah ...

Greetings Chewers ...

I've been lurking here for well over a decade. Got drunk one night in '07 and registered; Posted 5 times, and went back into hiding. I recently decided it was time that I take the plunge. I look forward to hopefully becoming part of this community.

Welcome to the CHUD-munity(c), PJT! Good to have you here
post #892 of 983
She uses the copyright symbol, but feel free to bootleg your own CHUD-munity merchandise. She's not at all litigious.
Seems strange to welcome you considering you made your name before me. But welcome back!!

Not sure if I would be considered "New"

But it has been a very, very long time since I last posted here. I doubt if you all even remember me. Anyways, I've grown up a lot since then so I promise not to act like such an immature moron like before.

Hello again!

Hello again!
Well, the post you made before this one is pretty memorable.
Jesus. I almost forgot about that.

Yup, I was pretty special. There was no doubt about that
post #898 of 983
So, have you joined the ranks of the old now?
I'm guessing so. My tits ain't sagging yet, but I am suffering from death anxiety. Apparently time is going by way too fast for me.
