Oh's!

Quaker Oh's! is the best cereal in existence. They're delicious. They don't get soggy. Why doesn't anyone acknowledge them? Go buy some right now and thank me later.
I prefer to "feel my oats."
As a kid, the only cereal I'd eat was Oh's, because I couldn't/can't stomach a cereal once it gets soggy. I remember them as being kind of that Cap'n Crunch-y, roof-of-mouth-destroying texture, and not teeth-achingly sweet.

Fuckin' shill.

Give me Honey Nut Cheerios or give me death.
If it's the one cereal that doesn't get soggy I shudder to think what chemicals are helping it accomplish that.

Oh, Oh, Oh, I love Oh's!
Oh's are in fact my favorite cereal of all time. They are hard to get around here though. Intermittent stocking at best.

f'ing Clusters...

... bitches.
I used to eat them out of little ziploc bags for snacks... so good.
Cranberry Almond Clusters from Trader Joe's is the greatest cereal ever created.

I will not argue about this.
Actually, the best cereal ever is Reese's Puffs.

I once got sick eating Krusty-O's

Very true. You have to develop palate calluses to eat more than one bowl at a time.

But that's why Oh!'s is the food of men.
Crispix eaten quickly is awesome. I have no time for oats. Give me epicurian corn and wheat, you stoics can keep the Quaker products.
I remember as a kid that all of the flash-in-the-pan gimmick cereals (E.T. cereal, for example) was just Cap'n Crunch in different shapes. Cap'n Crunch has got to be the worst successful cereal ever. It is a corn-based cereal, which I don't like, but worse, IMO, it's sweetened, and I can't stand most sweetened cereals.

Quaker Oh's are probably oat based, right? (Quaker Oats, "Oh"). That's alright. But is it sweetened?

I noticed a couple of years ago that Alpha Bits cereal was changed from an oat-based cereal to a corn-based cereal, which I'm sure is cheaper to produce. Alpha Bits used to be just like the non-marshmallow pieces of Lucky Charms. Now they're just like Cap'n Crunch, but still shaped like letters. Fucking sucks.

I prefer wheat-based cereals now, which is why I'm a Wheaties man. Can't go wrong with the Wheaties. Now, Total is basically Wheaties with more vitamins (it boasts 100% of the recommended daily intake of many vitamins whereas in Wheaties it's 25% IIRC). But I prefer Wheaties because I find that Total doesn't taste as good, maybe because of the extra vitamins. I don't know.

You know what's always under-rated? Grape Nuts. But you have to eat them fast, or they get nasty-soggy.

I know how to solve the Grape Nuts dilemma. For as long as I can remember, my grandmother has had the same breakfast every day before work: a glass of orange juice, a mug of coffee, and a bowl of Grape Nuts. The soggy solution? Yogurt. Use it instead of milk. It works wonders.

That actually sounds pretty damned good.
Try it. Let me know how it turns out.

The usual yogurt is Yoplait, frequently Cherry or Blueberry.
Love the Oh's.

As for the yogurt idea, one of my favorite things is to eat yogurt with Quaker 100% Natural in it. Awesome stuff.

Raisin Nut Bran is another big favorite of mine.
Grape Nuts in yogurt is good. So is granola, for that matter. The thing about Grape Nuts is that they are fantastically dense, but expand in my stomach. A tablespoon of that stuff practically fills me up. I rarely finish a bowl.

My brand is and always will be Berry Berry Kix, though I'm oddly finding it stocked in fewer and fewer stores here in the middle of a bustling city like Tampa. In fact, I have to buy it at Target now for fuck's sake.

First off: some of you fools no way too much about your common breakfast cereals.

Second, any of you ever eaten a whole box of cereal in one sitting?

Me: Fruity Pebbles
It should be mentioned that Cookie Crisp has not been mentioned, and that it deserves love. Before I drank beer and smoked weed, before my first shroom tea, there was half a box of Cookie Crisp on a saturday morning.

A friend of mine likes to make those Rice Krispie marshmallow treats, but with Fruity Pebbles instead of Rice Krispies. He and my other friends eat them down like six-year-olds. I get sick after one piece. Yes, there is such a thing as too much sugar.
Speaking of sweet, most cereals do not need to be as sweet as they are. I was all excited about the "1/3 sugar" cereals 'til I found out they just put other junk in there that's technically not sugar, but is even worse for you. I've never even liked cereal all that much, and yet I feel compelled to post several times in one thread about it.

Someone named Sodium doesn't belong in here anyway!
note to self: buy a box of Oh's, blueberry yogurt, and Grape Nuts

In my youth I used to pound Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Honey Nut Cheerios. Later on to take the sugar down a notch I would combine them with low sugar offerings like wheaties or regular cheerios.

Well, my favorite cereal is Salty Frosted Jerky Bombs.
I love Bite-size Frosted Mini Wheats. My colon demands All Bran Flakes with Yogurt Clusters. I try to alternate them on weekday mornings. Saturday and Sunday I go all out with eggs, bacon from the deli (never the package), and, occasionally, homemade crepes with strawberries. Damn if I don't love me some breakfast.
I love the whole breakfast food thing, but I can't deal with that much food first thing in the morning. So every once in a while, I have to make breakfast for dinner. People think it's a little odd to have scrambled eggs, bacon and toast for dinner. Fuck them.

Yeah, noing to much about break fast cereals in a terrible thing. Break fast sucks. When you break slow it's more enjoyable.

I like when people cop an attitude over some arbitrary shit like eating a typical breakfast meal for dinner. Why bacon, eggs, cereal, etc. would be eaten at one time rather than another makes no sense and why it would matter to any particular bystander when you eat what I have no idea. Those people are tremendous tools. They're the same people tend to leave a group conversation that's over their head and then walk by 15 minutes later and say with a valley girl attitude "you guys are STILL talking about this", apparently during the time they'd been gone they were curing cancer.

Yep...I actually had one person call me disgusting for eating pancakes and bacon for supper. Now admittedly it was their house, they didn't know who I was and I was naked but still...
