So surreal!

That's pretty cool. It's a shame we don't have volcanos on the east coast.

like something out of an anime or fantasy movie.

I'm not talking about one in Brooklyn. Maybe in Vermont or something. It would help with tourism.

That's badass.

Any of you remember that terrible St. Helen's film? I became semi-obcessed with volcano's after that. Just something about the idea of being able to naturally vaporize an entire face of a mountain.

That's fantastic! I sure hope there's an Evangelion down there or something.

I find it fascinating that the peak keeps growing higher and higher only to break down at the top and slide down the sides.

The mole people are finally invading.

Stuff like this is really fascinating. Is this a precursor to an eruption, or just a random natural phenomenon or what? Another random volcano fact I find cool/scary: Yellowstone National Park is a giant caldera that, if it were to blow, would basically destroy the continental US.

This mountain makes me semi-nervous, but not really for any reason. Whenever it erupts a bit I can see it from my house and I always think of Mt Doom and the End of the World and all that. Although I am posting because when I clicked onto this thread I thought it said "Lava F-in Rises Up..." as in "fuckin". Then I decided it was a funny thing to think.

I was living in Spokane, WA the last time St. Helens blew. What a damn mess. Ash fell from the sky for days, and we were supposed to wear breath masks for weeks afterward. We didn't, but we were supposed to. There were roads outside of town that still had ash collected on the sides years later. What a bizarre experience.

The mountain you should be worried about is the gigantic one sitting under Yellowstone Park. It blows, and it's gonna take a good chunk of the continent with it.
