Cool logo, although I can't stand the sidebar on their new covers. I'd like to think that's part of the spine, but it doesn't look like it.

It looks crooked, and therefore is bugging the hell out of me.

Godammit, you're right, that is irritating.

Not really a big fan. I really liked the old one, it was simple, classy and it fit the covers really well. And that sidebar looks crude. But hey, it's what inside that counts.

I guess they were bored. This new look is completely unncessary and not particularly better than the old one.

I like it, but they could also combine this with the older text and it would still look pretty good to me.

I don't really care much for it. It doesn't seem as classy as the previous logo.

The old logo was better. This new logo is too contemporary.

It really does look like something you'd see on the side of an abandoned building. With how much you pay for one of their DVDs, the idea of the Criterion building being an old rundown place is one of lies and trickery, which in turn annoys me to no end.

looks like covers are keeping the script as well

more crisp and modern but hey its thier cover art that makes them great and judging by the equinox cover art we have nothing to worry about

The cover aside, how is this going to change the opening credits animation? I love watching that line make its way across the screen. Now what? That off-kilter "c" is going spin into view or something dumb like that?

F this.

guess not on the cover, then again Im a graphic designer so I quite like it

I've heard that Criterion was/is going to release a "cult classics" line alongside its primary output, in which case the "C" logo would have been fine. But changing the Collection line to this is pretty ridiculous.
