The Cemetery Man dvd-

The good-

Beautiful transfer.... most definitely better than you've ever seen.
Completely uncut- gorier than the vhs copies I remember.
Anna Falchi's dinner-plate sized nipples

The bad-

No sign of that commentary track that's out there.
Only one documentary in the extras, although the dvd does come with a cool little booklet.
Horrible cover art.

Kinda shame that we waited so long to get this on dvd to get a pretty barebones release- but it's worth it just to have a great quality dvd of it. Plus, it's Anchor Bay, so you know they'll release a better version down the line. I'll be getting a review up as it gets closer to release date... (June 13th)

The commentary track out there is in Italian.

They do subtitled commentary tracks, though.... Tartan's been doing it for all of their Asia Extreme titles.

Does anyone know what happened to Michele Soavi? I had heard something ha[[ened to his kid, which is why he hadn't made anything in awhile, but then I saw he DPed on "The Brothers Grimm".

It's a pretty solid disc. The only time I had ever seen it before was late night about a decade ago on Showtime.

While I'm not a big Soavi person, I still enjoy the flick for the Rupert Everett performance.

Also, I noticed something on the back of the case. It has a 20th Century Fox LOGO. I thought October Films released the flick in the United States. There's also four trailers for some forgettable 80s horror/suspense flicks that look like they're escaping from the FOX catalogue and heading to future releases at Anchor Bay.

Even though it's barebones, I'm just happy to see this being released in the US, It's definitely worth the buy for the movie alone. By far one of the best zombie flicks out there.
Damn, I can't wait to pick it up next week!

Bought this at Best Buy yesterday, it got shelved a week early. But it was $16, I'm sure I coulda saved a few bucks if I waited and got it elsewhere.

He´s directed a new film, Arrivederci amore, ciao.
I haven´t seen it myself so i can´t say if it´s any good. The reviews on imdb seem to indicate that it´s yet another great piece of Soavi goodness.

That is indeed some awful cover art.

It's the same cover (and tag line) as the old VHS.
