For a few seconds there I was pretty excited. Then I saw the character profiles. Booooorrrrrring. Kirkfalusi knock-offs were passe ten years ago. I was hoping for crazier style like his CarToons inspired stuff in Beavis & Butthead.

Yeah, it is pretty disappointing. I just heard about this film recently and was even more surpised to see it was animated. I assumed it would be in the style of the comic books. Instead, we get Ren & Stimpy nonsense. Hopefully this is a quiet, STDVD release and he has something more promising on the horizon. The guy has talent and potential. I hope he uses it wisely instead of not recognizing the difference between pet project crap and films that will actually advance his skills and his career.

You can tell Zombie would love this to be like the old weekly midnight movies (Heavy Metal, Rock And Rule). Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I would love if he could pull it off... and have it hit theaters. Really hasn't been done in a long time- what's the last adult animation (that came out of America)? Can't even think of a recent one.

Very no.

And a question- I've only seen "Cool World" and "Lord of the Rings"... I've got the impression Ralph Bashki's stuff sucks from what I've heard from critics and viewers. Are there any worth seeing? "American Pop" looked cool.

For my money, Wizards is his best work. I can't remember if Fritz the Cat is worth a damn, but you might want to check that one out as well.

Wizards is his best. And before the "Fire and Ice" supporters come out, no, that's not as good as Wizards. In fact, it's not really that good by itself.

Fritz the Cat is fairly horrible. The first "X" rated cartoon, but the animation is pathetic (on par with old "Pink Panther" cartoons), and unless you were a stoned hippy in the early 1970's, it's pretty unaccessible. I do, however, have fond memories of my clueless Grandmother taking me to the Drive-In when I was 6 years old to see it, thinking it was a kids movie because it was animated.
