Clash of the Titans.. I can't find that anywhere. Nor can I find From Beyond. I read somewhere both are due to be released this year, but they are nowhere to be found right now.
CLASH OF THE TITANS is on DVD.

Now BECKET... my poor BECKET...

WHERE?!
Dark Night of the Scarecrow! Even though it's just a TV movie from the 80's I have been wanting that on a non bootleg, non TBS, DVD forever! It's definitely at the top of my list currently. It used to be Corvette Summer until somebody had the wisdom to finally release it last year.
I'm pretty certain the nuclear awesomeness of "W/R: Mysteries of the Organism" isn't available anywhere on DVD.
I can find Clash of the Titans pretty easily in the States. $12 over at Barnes and Noble:

I've been thinking about picking this up myself. I can pick a copy up for ya and send it to you (not quite sure how much some of these places charge for other countries). Wanna work something out?
This conversation begins with Monster Squad and ends with Night of the Creeps.

It also can be pretty easily found at Amazon (where exactly have you looked?). I think if you access Amazon from a link on this site, Nick gets a little kickback, so support Chud.

Rumored to be coming out on Criterion along with Makavejev's SWEET MOVIE.

These were gonna be my additions along with the other 80's nostalgiac schlock that I'm fond of: Howard the Duck & Harry and the Hendersons.

Add Twilight Zone: The Movie, the Deadly Mantis, the Mole People, Alligator (Robert Forster), Peter Benchley's "Creature" & "Beast" tv movies, the Loch Ness Horror, Island of the Fishmen (Screamers), Song of the South...

I know that many of these are not masterpieces and may be available in other regions, but I'm perfectly willing to replace some of my bootlegs if you just give me the chance.

And for tv... I'd really like the non-Storyteller (since I have those) episodes of the Jim Henson Hour. There was some cool stuff there. I want the tv shows: Adam West BATMAN, The Others, Werewolf, Monsters, the newer version of Land of the Lost, and the D&D cartoon released.

I know these are available in the UK, but gimme: Rawhead Rex, and Spaced tv show
and Japan has a version of Terrorvision (clip: http://www.badmovies.org/multimedia/...rorvision1.mpg )that needs to come out here...

Sorry if I just showed my hand on some my questionable taste. I can atleast admit it...

Rawhead Rex is out on DVD in the US. i own it. it was released through Artisan Entertainment.

most of the movies i never thought would come have, including Rawhead Rex, Silver Streak and The Car. but one that keeps staying off the radar is Electric Dreams. for some reason that stupid movie will become part of my collection...i hope.
After reading a thing or two about it on aicn, I really wish they could release The Gravy Train (aka The Dion Brothers) on dvd.

Must be outta print... It's not available anywhere... Shit, it is on half.com (for $70-100). It must be outta print. Damn.

And I'll second the mention of Stone Cold (Brian Bosworth not Tom Selleck) and Highway to Hell.
There's also a few Hammer Horror flicks that aren't available...

And Boogen, howbout "Boogens"?

I'd sure like to see the Director's Cuts of Payback & 13th Warrior as well...

The Passenger is out - just got it from Netflix.

Branaugh's Hamlet

I'd love a better than bare-bones edition of his Henry V, as well. Even a commentary would be nice. Others:

Straight Time
Rolling Thunder
broken record entry: The Yakuza

SALO
I know its technically out on DVD, but its out of print and the only way to get a copy is to drop damn near $100 or so.

The BLADE RUNNER theatrical cut.

The "director's cut" is available, and has been since 2000. Granted, it's pretty rare now, but it's out there.

The Blade Runner drought is because of some rights fiasco to do with the distributing companies right? So we're probably never gonna get a decent version over here in the UK.

I kinda miss Ford's bored voice over.
It's the same all over the world. Warner Bros. owns the Director's Cut, Tandem Productions owns the theatrical. However, according to a WB press event earlier in the year, the disc is on track for next year, and it's 25th anniversary.
This month's Total Film had a brief interview with Ridley Scott, and according to him WB are going to release a digital print of the Director's Cut theatrically next year, with a dvd to follow that. 25th anniversary hurrah and all that. How reliable that information is remains to be seen.
It'd be nice to have a decent copy of Blade Runner, largely because I know a lot of my friends haven't seen it. Even my Media tutor hadn't seen the damn film.

About 3 months ago I would have said Lost Highway and Dust Devil, but seen as you can pick up LH in HMV and Dust Devil in about a month I'm kinda out of ammo.

Yeah, I did a presentation on it for Media Analysis and he said afterwards he'd have to check the film out. Then again the fucker hadn't seen High Noon either. My course was more on the practical production side, specifically live radio/tv broadcasts and documentary editing.

I'm fairly impressed that I found Rumble Fish on dvd.

Odd. I remember doing two separate media courses that both had sections on BR.
There seems to have been a sudden increase in cult DVD production these last few months. I managed to pick up a copy of Santa Sangre, a movie I thought I'd never see again, for a fiver.
Yeah, I've had SANTE SANGRE for a couple of years.

All I can say is, god bless Anchor Bay.

So you're telling us that there's a Media tutor out there that's getting paid decent money to teach and he hasn't see those two films? Interesting...

I'd quite like a DVD copy of Hardware. Just to confirm that it is essentially a fever dream captured on film, and I was taking acid when I watched it as a 12 year old.

Jason: Yes his name is Nathan and he had a breakdown right when we all were getting our final documentaries together.
Breakdown? Elaborate, please!
Do they have the Tetsuo films on dvd? I remember watching them on FilmFour one evening, and the only thing I can remember was it felt like watching a migraine. Then I woke up and found myself on a sail barge...
http://www.play.com/Search.aspx?sear...&go.x=0&go.y=0

Yeah. They're pretty good for Tartan's too.

Jason: We walked into his office and asked him if he had marked our coursework from 3 months ago. He swore at us, stormed off, and his assistant taught us for the rest of the academic year.
It's been mentioned, but I want The Wizard, too.
Ahhhh... that explains it, Spike!

On topic: I'd like a decent version of The Terror.
Not sure if Tsui Hark's Peking Opera Blues is on DVD. If it is, it's probably a crappy Hong Kong affair with bad audio/visual and no extras.

Wong Kar-Wai's Fallen Angels and Chungking Express both need better releases too.

Hmm, think my requests dont really fit into this thread, oh well...

This happened to me twice, in college (AVCE in Media Studies) and uni (BA in Writing for Media).

Ya, pretty creepy when I was a kid. Course the little girl screaming at the top of her lungs helped to sell it. The Jabberwocky was pretty relentless.

Let's not forget Sherman Hemsley (George Jefferson) as the Mouse, Telly Savalas as the Cheshire Cat, & Sammy Davis Jr. as the Caterpillar... weird.

Jonathan Winters as Humpty Dumpty and Red Buttons as the White Rabbit were pretty good too.

However, I thought Anthony Newley as the Mad Hatter & Roddy McDowall as the March Hare were pretty dead-on perfect casting.

Haven't seen it in ages... Incidentally, I heard that Heather O'Rourke (from Poltergeist 2 & 3, and the tv series, Our House) turned down the role of Alice.
