Article here.

Sent my email in for this. I can't wait... hope this gets a few of you guys in there as well.

Of COURSE I sent in my email. I really hope I get to go- I met Lloyd Kaufman a few months ago, and it was one of the biggest movie thrills of my life.

Lloyd's a funny guy. He's great to the fans, acts like he's utterly thankful for their support, handing out all sorts of free shit and seeming cool to them. But then he'll turn around and rip on them for the rest of the night to the troma team. It's pretty funny... he's such an asshole. Gotta love him.

That's not the experience I seemed to derive from the guy. I was sort of his escort at the Avignon Film Festival, essentially a gofer, but when we got together and started talking movies, it was a huge lovefest. I am particularly proud of recommending "Three Extreme" to him, which he had never heard of (his similar recommendation was "Survivor Style 5"). Afterwards, he gave me a big warm hug- just seemed overly genuine. If it's an act, it's a helluva act.

He's had a lot of years to perfect it. I interned at Troma for 3 months, trust me... he's a prick. A lovable one, but still a prick.

Which Avignon Festival was that- when Terror Firmer premiered? I think that's when I first met him too.... he gave me a copy of the first Toxie on dvd....

Not sure- it was in NYC. There are two, and one is in NY, the other in France, I believe.

Got mine too. I'll have to keep it hush hush that I write for a horror site, I guess....heh.

Really can't wait to see it, I've seen the trailer a billion times at Two Boots.

Awesome. Look for me, I'll be wearing a Spider-Man shirt.

This movie is Troma at top form, for the most part. Not fair to judge it yet cause it's a very rough cut, but they definitely gotta trim it down a bit. Friggin' thing's over 2 hours.

Funny as all hell though, already.

Alex, where were you? I sense a Chewer somewhat hesitant to confront the best looking man on this site, mate. I was the guy he told to write a positive review up at AICN.

Fun stuff, this movie. I was probably the one laughing the hardest. Really great stuff, although they should trim a half hour out of this thing.

Did I need a closeup of Michael Hertz' anus shitting?

Nope... didn't see you. I snuck out of there early- I was with 3 other people- I'm the white guy with the shaved head and big goatee. Wanted to stay, but eh, not a fan of Gabe, and the ladies were getting hungry.

Joe Fleishaker, man! That was never really Michael Herz. But yes, you do need that closeup. And the shit splattering on the wall.

Maybe you know- what was the story with Lloyd? Apparently, he was supposed to be there, and they said he was at his daughter's high school graduation while snickering. Then one of them says, "He doesn't have a daughter!" A few moments later, his college age daughter (hot, btw) walks in and enjoys the screening.
