AICN has some SPIDER-MAN 3 set pic firsts

A first on Eddie Brock, the actual black suit, and the Stacy's from afar. I have absolute confidence in Raimi, and the knowledge Venom will be used sparingly (the recommended amount of Venom) helps.

Thanks for submitting news!

One of us has to!

Edit: Comedic hyperbole.

Can we delete this guy?

What does that mean?

This isn't the first time this guy has done this.

EDIT: Once again... it's recommended you send stuff like this in as news from the main site before posting anything about it.

I apologize to both you guys. I seriously didn't know. I thought you meant it wasn't big enough to start a thread about.

Didn't know my ass. Seriously, I would like to request that someone get banned for doing this as a symbol for the other assholes who do this. Either this guy or sport, I'm not picky.

Anything like this needs to be submitted using the "submit news" link on the main site. Make it a habit anytime you feel the urge to post about it from here on out.

Would this have been such a big offense if it were brought up in an existing Spiderman 3 thread? Instead of giving it its own thread? Or is it because it's head-liner stuff?

For example, I've linked to other PL articles in the Pan's Labyrinth thread (as have others)... But none of those links contained huge news... just little morsels...

Just asking.

I've done the same recently with a different piece of unrelated news... is there a standard wait-period for when it's safe to post about certain submitted bits?

Yeah, same here. Days and days ago I submitted (as in emailed via the "submit scoop" link) both the poster and trailer link to Werner Herzog's new film Rescue Dawn, and I never saw anything on it. Nothing. Nada. What's that about? Am I doing something wrong? Was it not news-worthy? I submitted the same info on Everything Is Illuminated way back when and that was posted. I'm confused.

I play by the rules. I don't post news on the boards. Should I not bother with the email?

Keep doing what you're doing.

Grumpy people, sheesh.

What was that Rescue Dawn link?
...yeah its news but AICN already posted so its not a scoop and whats to stop you from making an article even after a thread is created?

its not a scoop by any means so whats the big deal?

How many fucking times is Devin going to have to go over this? This has to be the 70th time I've heard this argument on here, it's getting tiring. Fucking swallow your thread-starting ego and just submit the news. You're not going to lose that many cool points for not being the guy that makes the thread. The main page is the MAIN page for a reason, not the forums.

Personally, I got no problems with rules and I'm going to ask this again: Is there a standard wait-period before it's safe to post about certain submitted bits? If I submitted something a week ago & haven't heard about it, can I assume nothing's gonna show on the main page, then start a thread...

I thought that Nick once said to give them at least a few hours...

Yeah, if I submit something in the morning and it's not posted by 8pm that night, I figure it's safe to go ahead and run the news on the boards.

Okay, so if you submit something and it doesn't show up on the main page, you should wait 12 hours before you run it in the message board.

Chewer-law!

This is starting to sound like the Swingers phonecall waiting period discussion...

Move discussion to this thread:

Someone can post a link to the AICN photos if they choose to.
