This popped back up into my head courtesy of Dan Laugharn, so here you go.

There are no extras other than the warm fuzzy feeling you'll undoubtedly recieve, although I remember the dramatic parts of the movie being quite boring. I just wanted to see some Mario 3 Power Glove Action, not some Christian Slater/Beau Bridges dinosaur emotional emoting.

Your first impressions?

He touched my breast!

Notable for Jenny Lewis violently punching Fred Savage in the face. Far and away the funniest moment in that film.

I haven't seen this since it hit the theatres and I don't remember liking it very much back then - hell all I DO remember was the power glove. But look, it comes out on my birthday!

That's because it's bad.

One of my most pined-after DVD's. I will own this movie so hard. It's one of those movies my dad ended up recording off of HBO for my brother and me when we were little, so we ended up seeing it over and over, making it very quotable.

"50,000? You got 50,000 points on Double Dragon???"

and of course, the one that had my dad absolutely dying of laughter when he watched it with us:

"I love the Power Glove. It's so bad."

I didn't know what was so funny then. I know now. Lucas is no longer cool.

They should remake it and call it The Wiizard.

This reminds me of something funny from when I was in 7th grade (about the time this movie came out).

I had a friend who thought that Jenny Lewis' was actually Christian Slater, so, because he had a crush on Jenny Lews, and obviously had no clue who Christian Slater was, he went around for a couple of weeks with I <3 Christian Slater written on the dust jacket of one of his books. Needless to say he got some strange looks and didn't know of the mistake until one of the girls in his class asked him about it.

Those controllers ARE sort of like little power glove type things, with the movement.
