Ghostwatch

I just saw "Ghostwatch" for the first time. Wow! I really dug it. I remember some of you talking about this a while back and I have been wanting to see it. Well a couple of weeks ago I bought it on Ebay. I found it to be creepy and loved it, although I thought that the end was a bit much. I don't think that it is for everyone, because of it's slow burn, but to me, it was a blast.

I reviewed it for Creature Corner many years ago, when the British Film Institute released in on DVD. You really need to view it in context - as a live broadcast from an era before reality TV - but even knowing it's faked, there are moments in it that freaked me out. The brief glimpse of "Pipes" as the remote camera pans around the bedroom is really effective, as is the one as Sarah Green enters the cupboard at the end.

In fact, while that review has been lost to the server changes of yore, I did find my first post after watching it...

I have to say, it's still damn creepy. Gave me a similar amount of willies as Bill Johnson's "Don't Worry...", if that helps get anyone more excited.
Spooky.

Spooky.
Thanks for the nice comment, Dan. I kind of needed that today.

Forgot that the rating system used these:

And I actually remember reading that review. Could never find a copy of the program to watch, either.

Ohh, Garth Marenghi. Yeah, I'm sure there was a thread on it somewhere.
