I am loving this game. It's fairly mediocre when played against the computer, but via friends on live, it's excellent.

There seems to be an enormously wide disparity between pitchers and hitters, which I like.

Addicting gameplay, fun online play, but dear jesus the glitches in this game kill it. Random crap will happen in the outfield to keep me from catching the ball, players will stop running the bases all of a sudden, and of course, the freezing.

Still, I enjoy the hell out of it.

I haven't had any freezing...that sounds troubling. Is that with all modes of play, or just on-line?

Fielding and running the bases are needlessly glitchy and difficult. It is nice to be able to control the runners individually, but oftentimes I end up not taking extra bases because I fear advancing the wrong runner. The main problem with fielding is that I am much worse than the computer.......either I suck, or it's just a poor implementation of a glitchy scheme. Maybe both.

Ultimately, though, the game is so overwhelmingly focused on batting and pitching (the two aspects of the game that are near perfect) that I don't mind that the other, comparatively minor, aspects are flawed. The fact that you aim the breakpoint of the pitches rather than the end point is so brilliant I can't believe no one thought of it before. Or, if they have, that I haven't heard of it before.

I've only played with maybe 10% of the pitchers thus far, but I've already concluded that Johan Santana's slider, Fossum's eephus, and Schilling's splitter are monstrously unhittable.
