A Movie I Will Love for the Rest of My Life: BRAZIL - Page 2

I was gonna make a new thread, but I guess I shall just resurrect this 5 year old thread...

Anyways I just watched Brazil all the way through for the first time last night. Absolutley adored it absured and nightmarish and with such a powerful ending.

I remember trying to watch the film when I first got into Gilliam's films after I saw Twelve Monkeys, when I was 13 or so. I got through Time Bandits, Munchausen even the bleedin' Fisher King but I remember watching Brazil as a kid and not knowing what to make of it. Promptly switching it off after 20 minutes...what a mistake.

Love, love, love the film.

Best ever, for me.
I wish I could do the Eternal Sunshine thing and wipe my memory of seeing this film so i could see it for the first time on a big screen, not a cheap shitty TV as was the case.
Love it to pieces. Haven't seen it in a year...better get for the weekend...thanks Spike!

I've read THE BATTLE OF BRAZIL. That BRAZIL lost best picture to OUT OF AFRICA is insulting.
