A grand and epic look at few outsiders surviving the self-destruction of a corrupt and unstable culture. This film is worth studying.

This film boasts an incredible story and a very impressive soundtrack. Trainspotting includes graphic scenes of drug use, sex and death. One of the finest films to come from Scotland, this movie...

The First story Battlegrounds was awesome. The 2nd one Crouch End SUCKED! They had 3 repeating scary kinda scary looking characters and a cat with a lame CGI eye, the acting blew and the effect @ the end with the tentacled thingy was as terrible as any other Stephen King movie with a dumb CGI or muppet monster at the end... 'IT' anyone with that stupid spider?

Initially, my instinct was to dislike "Crouch End". Were the effects kinda crap? Yep. Was the story repetitive? Check. The more I watched, however, the more I came to dig it. I actually think they did a hell of a job of replicating one of those slow-moving, sense-of-the-inevitable nightmares that everyone has from time to time: the lighting, the camera work, the bizarre but vaguely unsettling imagery. So, while I think the first episode of "Nightmares & Dreamscapes" was the more entertaining (also, impressive insofar as they went the "Hush" route and told the entire story without dialogue), I definitely enjoyed the second, as well (plus, it had the Lovecraft referencing, which is nice).
By the by, I find it interesting that, at least in my opinion, "Nightmares & Dreamscapes" blew "Masters of Horror" out of the water. Sure, they're using some dynamite King stories in "Nightmares" (not that that's always turned out well in the past), but "Masters" was supposed to be this brilliant effort where genre directors and writers were given free reign to tell the story they wanted. Somehow, that seemed to go wrong, though.

I went out last night and missed this.... I friggin' suck.
The behind the scenes footage I saw of Battleground looked great- really looks like they did the soldier effects well. Dammit. Hope they replay this soon.

Yeah I wish there was a way we could post the behind the scenes stuff from BATTLEGROUND... But I will have some behind-the-scenes stills up today. The makeup that Lee Remaire and crew did is pretty impressive.
