Final Destination 3

The movie itself, like the second one, is tolerable, if only for some really fun and bloody deaths.

But what I THOUGHT was going to be interesting about the dvd is that there's a "choose their fate" option, where at certain points in the film, it gives you "Choose Your Own Adventure" type choices to make, which may or may not affect their livelyhood.

One thing it doesn't affect, though, is the movie. Not one bit. It's a really useless option that is definitely not worth even checking out.

The movie isn't as good as the second, it has even more problems with stupid "fate logic" than the movies before it, but I had a fun enough time with it.

I saw this second in a drive-in double feature of The Hills Have Eyes/Final Destination 3. It was like watching a Disney movie after Hills. I fell asleep.

These movies are the very definition of fun for me. Nothing can top the insane greatness of the second installment, but I still had a good time with this follow up. I'd definitely pick this up before I bother with The Hills Have Eyes again.

Sounds like they either have no grasp on the horror genre...or it was somebody's idea of a joke.

I think the third one definitely suffers from thew weakest opening of the series, but once it finds it's legs, it's enjoyable. I mean, the idea is ripe- they could make ten of these, and they would still seem fresh (although one being in 3D is the only request I make). The second one is the best, while the first one seems too bogged down in explanation.

I like the movies too, but I think they need to change the time setting if they ever make a new sequel. Have it set in the old-west or something... or on a pirate boat... arrrr....

The problem with the third one is that it doesn't have the thrust of the second. In the second it seemed like they were constantly getting somewhere in terms of figuring out how to beat this thing. In 3, it seemed like they just kept showing up late to help people.

Plus, the death of Mckinley is an accident, nothing the main character did, so really it shouldn't have stopped anything. I don't mind the dumb "fate-logic" in these movies, but even with my brain turned off it was extremely retarded.

And if it was in the past, they wouldn't have all the machinery that makes the deaths so bloody.

Wait, this shit came out? Wow, show's how much I care. Second one was hysterical but I'm sorry, did we need a third?

Not to mention Death isn't given a single once of character or presence. In the first one and second one it really seemed like he was personally out to get them and you'd see like fingers in shadows or stuff like that. The first scene in the first one where the guy slips in the tub and gets hanged while the water slips conveniently away leaving no evidence was far more creepy than the shit in the third one. A whole mouse trap contraption built to kill one person the bloodiest way possible is so overly complicated and out there. Also the clues the people have to figure out sucked so bad that I really couldn't tell how the girl figured them out.

The engine fan blade to the head makes this a keeper.

Anyone who wants to see the alternate deaths- http://www.creature-corner.com/?type=news&id=1530

I really enjoy these movies. Besides the kills there's not much to them, but I was pleased at how brutal some of them were in this one.
