Chrome Hounds is quite decent.

Not $60 worth it, but then again, I hate paying more than $25 for a game. The single player sucks but multi is pretty damn cool. Joined some random squad and proceded to kick some ass. If anyone else here rented/bought CH, what say we start up a squad and win one for (fake country)!

I'll rent it if we can get a group together.

i like it better than the mechassault games, simply for the the custom mechs you can build. slower pace, for sure; but the phsyics are good and the lighting is pretty as all hell.

rented this. acquiring and building your mechs has been quite addicting. played through some missions in singleplay, nothing exciting. some of the machines are way too slow for my liking - made worse by damage causing even more reduced speed.

My first mech was a complete failure. Absolutely underpowered, but somewhat nimble. I got destroyed in multiplay. Loading up my first sardine can exclusively with the free sniper rifles (felt underpowered & did nothing to the enemy). I then added an equal assortment of automatic weapons and missiles - kicked some ass afterwards.

So how does the territorial warring work? It'll let you look at the various spots on the map in conflict but there's no way you can hop on it and stir up some shit. I think you can only do that if you join a squad or create your own. Of which the only available squads I could see are all based in Japan.

*rental place doesn't include manuals when you try their games, it's balls but the selection of games is alright.
