Enjoy.

Being a spectator by default, could someone explain to me how this is going to go?

Interesting.

Is good to see this back.

I'm looking forward to Kirby's list so I'll know who's going to be all over the place next year.
My "Join date" is borderline, so let's hope I squeeze in. Thanks to Nick's link, I've been reviewing the draft of '04. Wow - some of you are insane.

I might take some time to rip apart others drafts (just because it's kinda fun and all in jest) later this evening or tomorrow. Sitting in a tower is cool!
There were many good reasons for me to leave office life and make more money working outside as a tech. Unfortunately, it means that I can't commiit to an online draft, since my Internet time is sporadic at best.

Damn, I used to have fun with these. So many great chicks, and so many drafters with bad taste.

As cool as the Babe Draft is, I think my favorite was the Babe Draft - Movie Character edition.
It's been too long... can't wait!
As much as I've enjoyed some of the recent drafts, it's good to have Nick-sanctioned draft going again.

I think my favorite draft was the comic character draft. Not only was it excruciating to have my target taken by the person in front of me three rounds in a row, but the Snake-Eyes debate was worth it all by itself.
After all these unofficial drafts I've done over the years, I'm finally eligble for the Babe Draft.....and now I have a job where I'm without internet access most of the day. I want to weep.
Even though I, as Patrick, am only a spectator, I think this will be great fun.
Well it is nice to see Shelby back and also another woman participating in this draft. Just hope we make the cut
post #13 of 224
I was trying to decide if I should sign up for the draft or not since I pretty much just 're-joined' the boards...maybe it was too soon for me?... But once I saw you sign up, I thought what the hell...lemme join my fellow woman in the babe draft. We have to show the men what good taste we women have in...well...women.
You got that right Shelby and a few years ago you and I were in the babe draft and I might add we had the sexiest babes of the lot.

I hope you pick your football players the way you pick your women.
Even though I guess it's pretty simple, I think I still don't get it completely.

First, everyone registers for a draft by reporting in.
Then, everyone gets a specific time slot to post his/her choice.
There's a trading round where you can trade your choice with someone else.

Now how do you "win" or get points, or how are the drafts winners detected?
Everyone is a winner.

Then everyone gets a chance to join in and make fun of other people's tastes in women. Then some go and cry in a corner while everyone else points and laughs.

Quite simple actually.
So, um, who's starting?

Membership has its priviledges. The sign up was out there for ages. You snooze you lose. 28 is it.

That said, when the expected handful of people opt out, we'll have a replacement drive.
Nick, do you have an idea on around what time in the day the draft would be starting?
Okay, I need a quick tutorial: how do I post a pic inside a reply?
Shit, I can't believe I slept on this! I'll grab a spot on the bench for now in case anybody bows out.

The twins are please with my success. Thanks!

I am trying to do a write up on the Babe Draft '06, and I am looking over old threads for some history. The oldest "babe" draft I have found is the babe/hunk draft that started in late January of 2001. The first ever pick was Tyra Banks from Hellblazer.

Does that sound correct to some of the original drafters?
That sounds about right. I think JLH was my first pick that year.

Yo Nick, did you get play by play analysts? I might be down with giving some color on the drafting, do a little Mel Kiper action.
