Available with pre-order.

Pretty damn good in my opinion, so far. Anyone else try it out yet?

Apparantly this demo has sold a lot of people on this game. Sure it's a complete knock off of GTA but they apparantly fix what GTA did wrong.

Main thing - Aiming system. It's still shitty 3rd person aiming but better than GTA's super smart lock on system.

DO a quick search on YouTube to find some fun videos. One of the best I've seen is the derailing of a train. Awesome.

Edit: The demo is also scheduled to release on the marketplace around August 1st.

Any other places have it besides Toys r Us? Ours is out of business and Aug. 1? That's bullshit. I'm paying for Live, goddamit. I want my demos NOW.

It's Volition who made Saints Row, right? Between Freespace and The Punisher, I feel good about trusting Volition with the games they release.

I'll have to try it when I buy my 360 later.

GameStop seems to have it as well, since I just picked mine up from there. The guy is a buddy and he acted like he wasn't supposed to give it to me but alas I have it and will be trying it in a bit.

*edit* Played the demo and although it was a bit to brief and didn't include all options for character creation I have to say I liked it. Better aiming than GTA and WAY better graphics. I just hope the music selection and character creation choices add to the game as I think they will.

Just got the demo from EB.

Great GTA ripoff. It's almost exactly the same game, except better.

I love the Punisher game Violition made, I still play it.

Keith David and Micheal Rapaport voice your two fellow gang members in the demo, which has about five missions or so, but you can mess around and just kill people and blow up cars (the explosions have great physics).

I'm gonna go play it again.

Don't forget that there's going to be multiplayer with up to like 16 people. The only thing it seems to be missing is a replay function.

I've got it, and I also think its a great GTA ripoff.

The best part of the demo is definitely tossing a pipe bomb onto the el-tracks, and then seeing the train blow off the tracks, and descend into traffic below, skidding along still propelled forward by its momentum.

It's like a mini action movie.

Also, keith david is pretty perfect as the character he's been cast as, and his skin texture on my 1080i is pretty special.

Also, great heat waves/distortion over fires, and cars explode into like a hundred pieces, and depending on the bomb/placement, like fifteen feet into the air as well. I think its the havok engine, if that means something to anyone.

also, Daniel Dae Kim (Jin on "Lost") is the voice of the guy who says "Who the Fuck's This Guy?" in the second cutscene.

Yeah with several interesting multiplayer modes as well. Man how awesome are the pipebombs? I love doing hold ups just to get the cops to come so I can blow their cruisers sky high and burn all the bystanders in the process.
