If x-wing vs tie fighter worked I'd lose days off my life. I loved that game with a fiery passion of a 1000 suns. Why won't they just update this game?

I had only heard bad things about X-Wing versus Tie Fighter before. So I guess it was really good?

Hell yes. It's by far one of tne of the most re-playable games (longevity wise) out there.

I loved that game, but I had friends who completely hated it. I guess, like most things, all depends on personal preference. I mean, Tie Fighter was and still is my favorite game outta the three, but X vs Tie was pretty dope.

Yes. It's insanely good, and was also pretty tough, but had oodles of missions and allowed you to take on a super star destroyer single-handledly.

Taking on a super star destroyer sounds pretty nifty.

X-Wing Vs. Tie Fighter was my shit. I would have never known what a B-wing was without it.

My problem with X-Wing vs TIE Fighter was that it really wasn't much of a single-player experience. No campaign, just a collection of missions. I couldn't get behind that.

TIE Fighter was the king of the series for my money.

Oh man, Tie Fighter...So many cool moments in that game.Torpedo runs, ambushes, chasing smugglers, assasinations, betrayal that game had everything.Only the equally awesome Freespace 2 can compare.

Please make a DirectX 9 version of Tie Fighter and I promise I'll buy every version of Star Wars you are ever going to publish. Please?

It had campaigns.

Yeah, there were lots of campaigns... and you could play either side of the battles.

True. But playing in the Star Wars universe while not being playing a shitty game is actually THE best thing.

Never got around to VS. But X-Wing, Tie Fighter, and X-Wing: Alliance were all awesome. I actually got Alliance again used just to play the skirmish mode. You can set up all kinds of battles. It's also the most graphically advanced, and a few years ago some independent programmers put together a major update for it.

Plus you can fly the Falcon. I mean, come on!
