It looks like things can get quite insane. Those scenes towards the end where you have to start shooting portals out while falling out of another portal ensure a keyboard holocaust.

Glad to see that Valve is on a roll. Looks like fun -- basically the cool stuff from Prey, but totally under your command. Nice.

I think the Portal stuff is a mini-game, not an entire game.

The guys who worked on it have a game called NarbacularDrop, which uses the same ideas in the Portal game; Valve hired them about a year ago.

Their site is here, but it's temporarily offline.

I've always wanted an ACME Portable Hole. This looks cool.

There were some fun things in that video, such as the perspective changes as the character moved from floor to wall or ceiling, him chasing himself around an endless corner, and falling past the same floor over and over.

Yeah, that was one of the first things I did in Narbacular Drop. It's cooler when you get to see the acceleration in the beginning of the fall.
