Portholes - New Valve Awesomeness - THE SHIP

A multiplay centric murder simulator on boats. Anyone with a pc considering giving it a shot? Basically, you are assigned to kill someone - someone else on the boat is assigned to kill you. Hunting goodness all around.

Sadly, reading gamefaqs boards reports the game still has some bugs upon release (don't know if they've patched them yet). Sounds different from the CS's and Battlefield type shooters right now.

* and yes, technically the game isn't from Valve, but released via Steam.

I was a Beta tester...fantastic premise, and it has a lot of heart, but ultimately...the graphics are frustrating as hell to try to play with.

I just downloaded it yesterday and played for a bit. Control feels a bit off, but I think that's half me not being used to it yet, and half slop in the game itself. It was still pretty good, though. You get a nice little jolt when your hunter takes you out, and hunting down your target has some interesting elements of strategy to it, especially since you don't want to be seen killing them. I doubt it'll become an obsession, but it's a clever new approach to FPS-style multiplay, and I'll definitely keep it installed.

A bit late notice, but Valve has been running a free trial weekeng for this. If you're interested in trying this out you've still got one day.
