The Intruder

I'm just stumbling across forgotten classics left and right here! First TCM 2, now this!

I get the impression that it wasn't just Scott Speigel that directed it, but that it was a team effort among the many fimmakers that were on set. At the very least, the visual style is VERY Evil Dead.

And man. GREAT gore. That hydraulic press scene is terrific.

Isn't it just "Intruder"?

I like when he pushes the boss into the paper spike-thingy. It was also quite possibly Ted Raimi's best performance.

It IS just Intruder, you're right.

My favorite death was the head in the deli slicer.

working graveyard shift for a supermarket was one of my first jobs, which adds a special layer of fun to this movie for me. cardboard bailer has the best death scene. wasn't the original title for this "The Night Crew"? they should have stuck with that...

This was featured on the Sam Raimi episode of Jonathan Ross' Incredibly Strange Film Show, because Raimi was shooting his cameo at the time. Quite an interesting little time capsule, as Raimi talks a lot about how he really wants to make blockbusters.
