Comes in some pretty sweet packaging, I think:

•Jennifer Garner's first interview - Never before seen
•...and even more secrets revealed
This is a limited edition set - only 40,000 sets will be produced - and will sell for $199.99 US, or $264.99 CAN. Remember to knock 30% off that price when you order online, or buy it in stores.

I do have to say, after seeing the sweetness of the packaging, I'm disappointed to see the discs have the same art. I'd think with all the trouble of making it, and calling it limited edition, they could have printed discs with new artwork as well.

Either way, I've sold the seasons I already owned, so I'll probably get this.

Cool packaging, but the last two seasons took such a severe nosedive that I don't think I can push myself to buy this.

Agreed. I watched this show faithfully the last five years, but the least two seasons have stunk. Season Three doesn't even pick up steam until Melissa George turns evil.

That packaging is awesome, but I dunno that I'd shell out $200 for it.

I agree but there is some good stuff in the last four or five episodes of the fifth season, and more than anything, it wraps up most of the first couple season's storylines as well.

And Victor Garber's last line in the show is literally priceless.

Sure, there were some good bits and pieces (the car crash at the end of season 4 (?) was one of the most "jump out of your seat" shots that I've seen on television) but I can't forgive most of the shit we had to wade through to get to the decent finale.

Pretty sweet packaging but it's difficult dropping $300 on a complete set.

The first 2 seasons were bloody brilliant but then the show went downhill. There were still some bright spots along the way but far too many missteps. Garber was always the man though.

its 200, I thought. And 30 percent off if bought online.(EDIT: nevermind, canadian)

Yeah, I don't think anyone's disagreeing with the drop-off in quality. But I will actually dissent on the fourth season finale. I thought it was telegraphed the entire scene. Too much negative space in the frame, and only the one shots.

I also thought the last four (ish) episodes of the fifth season were good. Not filled with decent spots, but "good". Maybe it was my ties to the first few seasons, and knowing this was truly the end, but I was very into the last set they aired after the new year. And although I didn't like the mother's characterization when all was said and done, I thought they were all good near the very end.

But let's be honest, they probably wrote lena olin like that because she was always so damn difficult in negotiations. I wonder how much better the latter seasons would have been if not for that, too.

And speaking of Garber, how bad does his dye job look in his new series?

Aside from the cool packaging (yeah, I don't know about you guys, but I love to just stare at the packaging and through all the discs away), I want the hardcover book since it hopefully means that the creators (or whoever) have written actual answers to long-standing ambiguities of the show. For example, how did Victor Garber's hair say so damn awesome the entire show EVEN IN FLASHBACKS.

I watched the entire series, but like the Buffy ENTIRE SERIES Set, this is probably for the hardcore unapologetics and newcomers.

Yeah, I'm sure that's what the book is about.

Does anyone else agree about it sucking that the disc art is the same as the original discs? Season two looks right, but season one's discs in that picture are jarringly incongruous.

Did they ever explain WTF was the big deal with Rambaldi? Did that shit turn back time, or something?

SPOILERS
His DNA gave one eternal life.

was it really that simple? Cause his dna was part of the heart they found in one of the earlier seasons, too, right? I thought they did something else while down in that crypt (the pool of blood, the sphere, sydney - wasn't there something besides JUST his blood that combined to create the eternal life juice?).

I'll tell you what I want out of the book or whatever "secrets are revealed": The actor they cast as Rambaldi. JJ said they cast the actor, and even went so far as to use his hand for one shot (i forget when in the show). I want to know who that was.

The first two seasons are outstanding! Season three gets kinda dull and the last two seasons are fucking piss awful.

I wouldn't waste money on this, the first two seasons are so good it sets u up for a big letdown.

If there are still fans of the show I have many original production used ALIAS scripts up for sale on eBay. This week: The last of Season 1 and a chunk of Season 2 when the shows were written well. The rest will follow in pretty much Season order. About 70 more to go.
