Not to rant on Ratner again, but the guy makes it hard for himself with the evidence avaliable out there that suggests he is anything other than a JERK!
Going through the Australian Movie site, 'The Movie Show' and listening to their tremendously large selection of audio archived interviews with various directors and actors, I came across Brett Ratner's comments regarding Red Dragon...
He starts off well and I started to like the guy and then.. oh gosh..and then he just became THE RATNER!
That egotistical jerk who we have read so much about in interviews.. well this time you get to hear his fly on the wall remarks.. his 'way of unthinking' though answers....
But what basically standouts in the interview... is this little piece of dialogue around the 8th minute...
Q)Now this film has opened to huge figures in the United States and is clearly going to be huge all around the world.....So How is that going to change you?
A) ahhhhhh.. I'm going to become a richer man (laughs)... ahhhh.....
(then) .....I could always go back to the comedies, to do rush hour 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 9..."
WOAH NOW...
