Well, unless you're an egomaniac and KNOW which of your posts get comments (or think ALL of them got comments) that's a pretty daunting task (unless I understood wrong).

Another question: so, sometimes I check and I got 675 points... suddenly, two weeks later, it rises to 715 and I got one or two new comments.

So, the points total doesn't get updated until someone makes a rep with comments? Can I assume the other 40 or so new rep points DON'T have comments, and only those two new ones were the ones with comments?

You only get points if you get repped, so yes, your total will only rise (or fall) if you have gotten a rep from someone. The amount by which you rep changes is in proportion to the person's rep power who reps you; people with higher rep values themselves appear to give more rep per hit.
