I find it so bizarre that other people are getting comments referencing me. It's really quite disturbing.

Most of the ratings I get don't have comments, but I got "You are Devin Faraci's sock puppet" for a comment I made this morning describing my love for the Zeigfield movie theater.

This is my profile on another message board. Scroll down, and notice it shows the username of those who gave me rep, positive or negative. Also, this is publicly viewable for everyone, whereas here it isn't. Any reason why?

I stand by my earlier statement that CHUD doesn't need rep. This place is better than that, and it causes unnecessary tardfighting.

To a point yes. It is fun sending people positive rep while going on about the implications of the Revolutionary War...but what will eventually happen is people will continue to post Negs while signing other people's handles. Discussion will break down because such and such thinks the actual person sent it. We'll have a big fight and no one will pay for your next conquest. I got three dollars to contribute. I got a bunch of anonymous negative points from calling Eliza Dushku an uggo in a Buffy thread last time this system was around.

The best negative comment I had was "GIVE THEM BACK! Please to not spray us with fecal remnants." I have no idea what that was about. I think it might have been referencing the Dave Matthews Band tour bus thing in Chicago.

Paranoia will become the name of the game if folks actually take this system seriously and on a personal level. As evidenced by 99.9% of the rep comments in this thread, there's nothing to get worked up over when the reputation in question is an easy way to throw some salt into a potential wound basket.
