Tvshowsondvd.com reports that Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears: Vol. 1 is coming to DVD on a 3-disc set.

The show is about a group of bears who use magic and technology and coexisted with humans, until a rivalry forced the Gummis to leave, and a small group stayed. Generations later, a young boy named Calvin had a medallion which helps unlock the Great Book of Gummi which revealed the lost heritage, along with the secret of gummiberry juice which makes them bounce up and down. Now they must rediscover their heritage while preventing the evil Duke Igthorn from exploiting it.

The Gummi Bears aired on NBC from 1985-1989, and aired two more years on ABC. The show features the voices of Lorenzo Music (Garfield) as Tummi, June Foray (Rocky from Rocky & Bullwinkle) as Grammi, Bill Scott (Bullwinkle from Rocky & Bullwinkle) as Gruffi, Paul Winchell (Gargamel from The Smurfs, Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, Dick Dastardly from Wacky Races, and Bubi from Help! It's the Hair Bear Bunch) as Zummi, and Michael Rye (Green Lantern from Superfriends) as Duke Igthorn.

The 3 disc set contains 47 episodes from the first 3 seasons and will arrive in stores on November 14 along with Ducktales: Vol. 2 and Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers: Vol. 2.

Somebody at Tvshowsondvd.com needs to learn the magic of differentiating between past and present tense.

It depresses me that this will actually sell. And yet, still no Max Headroom.
