Yeah, I get that comment a lot.

So do I have to wait till 4am Melbourne time to post? Thats gonna suck! I dont get online till 6-7am so I won't be punctual.
I'll predict now that the winner will be a guy and put the ladies in here to shame. Though I'm sure they will put up better pictures than the guys.

Given 10 male and 4 female contestants, I think odds are in your favor there. However, I'm hoping us ladies have such outstanding taste and delicacy that we best the boys.
I've never done a draft before. How is the winner determined? What's the overall goal of the game?
technically no winner. just draft the 10 must f'able guys. Variety helps. Great sleepers help.

Batter up.
I get to go even if Matt misses his time, right?

Well, I picked Brad Pitt. But not for the reasons most would think. Despite his conventional looks, he exudes unconventionality with his choice in film roles, his current sexual partner, and well, um, check out my pics in the photo thread. He just seems like he would be into really kinky sex.
As long as it is your time... you go.

And the idea is to post the name in the Round One Picks thread, please. Thanks.
Okay, I'm still figuring out the rules. Don't hurt me please!
Nice photos, Anya. I love the goofy photos, as opposed to the Babe draft which is ALL T&A. I suppose it's also less threatening for guys to post non-sexy photos of other guys.
I'll do better with the other ones. Portman and Gyll just fit perfect. My top 2 choices in both drafts. Even if it wasn't really a date.
Three picks in, and 2 choices are eliminated. Thanks Anya and Dean. Guess it's a good thing I created a list of 50 names the other night. I hope that's enough.....
Bale was a tough loss, but I knew he wouldn't last past the first round. Gyllenhall wasn't a top choice for me, but it's still sad not to have him as an option.
Brad Pitt has been pussified by Angelina. The dresses are apt. 2 superheroes so far.
Brad can be my kitty. Meow!

To answer Diva's question in the other thread: it can be any combination of criteria. Filmography, personality, they all play a part along with looks. As long as you can justify your pick if necessary, anyone's up for grabs.

That's bullshit. These people drafts are about hotness. Hence, no Meryl Streep, Angelica Houston or Ethan Suplee.
Exactly, I saw some no talent hotness in the Babe draft. I mean, Monica Kenna?! Every time she speaks I want to grab the mute button on my TV remote. What a crap actress.
Wait, so Kathy Bates is out? Shit! Now I have to go get another round seven pick ready.
hotness is first, but the factors of talent, newness, and being an it girl also counts. Being a hot 14 year old is a plus for some as well.
I can't fucking believe I snagged Depp.
Talent is not a factor. The more talented actresses get drafted early merely because they're well more known (talent tends to get you more work and fame).
I'm just speaking for me, here. Anyone wants to draft someone with the talent and intellect of a dead sea otter, that's their perogative. I'm just saying, there's no rule that says looking as close to a Playboy model as possible is the only requirement.
Well, of course you don't HAVE to draft attractiveness, but you'll end up being the LA Clippers of the 1990's.
In that case, I can't wait to get F. Murray Abraham in Round 2.
I'm just saying based on both the picks and pictures posted in the Babe Draft, talent other than the physical seem to have no part in this game. But what do I know. This is my first time playing.
This isn't a 'great actor/actress' draft is the point, Crow.
Duh.
Nice pick, Patrick. I LOVED him back in the day, but he's looking a little scraggly these days.
Oh, I realize that. I never said looks weren't the primary factor. I just have more criteria for this beyond looks than some.

I love the scraggly. He's extremely pretty but he's not a pretty boy, who annoy me.
I'm not a pretty boy fan either. I liked him with his rebellious, trash-his-hotel-room rocker look, as opposed to his clean cut "21 Jump street" or current fedora hat and chin pubes look. He's defintely a hottie though and quite the "IT" boy with the success of Pirates, so kudos.

Edit: That first photo you posted was one I had picked out as well.
And Matt, Hugh was my number 2 pick. I'm not such a fan of howl he looks in X-Men, but I fell in love when I saw the modern Jackman in the Fountain Trailer. To me, he looks his best when he's all stubbly. Stubbley. Chock full of stubble.

Freudian slip?
No, but I'll pretend it was.
Shelby, Shelby, Shelby. Really, I'm glad that you are back on the boards; however, you just took my first round pick. Evil, evil, evil.

My eyes are on you.
well come on....my other 2 first picks were already taken
post #41 of 64
I knew he couldn't last. I can't tell you how hard I debated between Jude and Brad. I actually think Jude is hotter, but I couldn't resist posting the pics of Brad in drag.
Godamn you Fabfunk. Of all the deviency you've partaken in throughout the years, taking George Clooney was by far the gravest.

Well actually, fucking dead chicks was the gravest.
Hey my housemate just worked on the catering for the Boy From Oz cast party and met Mr Jackman on the weekend. Said he was better looking in person, really, really, really charming and has a pretty keen eye for the ladies.
So there you go.
I think he is the most interesting non-Depp actor working at the moment.
Your statement is akin to saying a girl "has a great personality". :P

Love your pick, Matt. There's another one crossed off my list.

Indeed. I win.

I was kind of thinking of an all-Batman draft, but Bale was snapped up early.
If Crow wants to swap posting order with me I'm quite happy to. I can't make it for my pre-designated 4am posting time so I will be posting late anyway, so if it's ok with everyone he can take my spot after he posts his first pick.
I have fairly obtuse taste in men so I'm pretty sure no one is going to snare my pics first.

I was this close to giving you negative rep for it, too, but that was just the spirit of competition raping my good judgement.

Anything to get out of the drafting gutter. That would make it 2 pm for me, after tonight.
I think the only way fabfunk could lose this draft is if he starts exclusively drafting the stars of Cocoon and *batteries not included from now on. And even then it'd be a close call.
What's with all the man love for Clooney? He's a talented actor and distinguished looking guy, but calling him the apex of the Stud draft is a bit of an overstatement.

Also, I find the age disparity between the Stud and Babe draft picks very interesting, but not all that surprising.
