If I'm going to buy something at Best Buy today, it's going to be The Wizard.

Super pumped about the slightly altered unis this year!

after seeing the Making of the Madden Soundtrack on mTV and MTV2..

I gotta get it for that AFI song that's played on the radio every five minutes!

I will honor this day by destroying the last remaining EA Sports game I own (NCAA Football 2003).

I have been a huge Madden fan for years. But every year something new pisses me off . I get it last night, prepare to start my franchise and there are a shitload of hall of famers in the free agency. So that in like week 2 the Bengals sign friggin Walter Payton. I had to look in forums for 20 minutes to find out how to fix that fuck up. And then ( and I know this is petty ) but the they still have the generic endzones in the superbowl. Little shit like that gets me irate. The game overall is the shit but they need to fix the little things .

But why should they fix things when people willingly eat it up every year anyway? Hell, didn't some EA execs, regarding the 360 version last year, recently say, "yeah, we knew it was busted but knew it would sell anyway"? That's fucked and sad.

Why do you think they fucked Sega out of making NFL games?
See thats the whole thing I was scared of. I never really liked the 2k football games. They had aspects I liked but I was a madden fan. But it was good that madden always had compitition. Now that they don't the real slacking begins and I ( the fans ) suffer. Now I am actually hoping that after the NFL license deal is over that 2k stomps EA's ass.

That was too good and too true. I'm surprised that's even on there, since ESPN is all over this year's Madden.

Was the IGN review a satire, or in the new create-a-player mode do you really choose the player's parents? It just seems too stupid to be true.

I've never been a football fan, or a football game fan(I've owned a NFL Blitz and NFL Street in the past though), but man, I didn't realize how crazy Madden fans are until yesterday. My friend is getting a FREE copy of the game and 20 bucks for gas just to pick a copy of '07 for his buddy. He's stuck at work and is afraid they'll be sold out. I live in the sticks so it's a little ways to find a place selling it, but jesus. $120, plus tax, for the new Madden? That guy is insane.

Yes, you do. Well, you're given a random pairing and can either accept or re-roll the gene pool.

And behind the times. He hasn't heard of Amazon?

That's awesome. Maybe they can have a Todd Marinovich version where you have to spend 4 hours a night throwing balls through tires and if you don't do it every day his dad flies to your house and beats the crap out of you.

I haven't met the guy, but I get the sneaking suspicion that's he's not the brightest of bulbs.

The referee looks like Tom DeLay.

EA was getting lazy and slacking with their football games BEFORE they even garnered the monopoly with both the NFL and NCAA licenses. It's just gotten so bad since then (because they obviously don't have to care) that even some of the diehard Madden acolytes are finally starting to figure it out.

It might be too late, though. EA may have ruined football console gaming forever.

I wasn't really gonna go for it but I see that Walmart has it for 47 dollars....Is it worth picking up(especially at that low of a price for a new 360 game).
