Dirge of Cerberus

The mediocre to negative reviews combined with my love of FFVII leveled out to me renting this game. So far, I'm very glad I didn't drop $50 on it. Aside from the mindless shooter aspects and useless additions (I love it when I find a box that's at knee-height and I can't double-jump on top of it), the story thus far is boring to laughable.

My favorite part so far has been running into a character named "Azul the Cerulean". That's right. There's a character who's name basically translates as "Blue, the shade of blue."

What, exactly, were you expecting from a Square 3rd person shooter based on the gayest character from Final Fantasy 7?

with a name like 'dirge of cerberus'. Heavy Metal bands would cringe at that title.

Thanks for saving me the $15 I would have spent on a used copy. By the way, the commercial looks awful.

I think most FF fans are waiting for October 31st.

So they can all dress up as Cloud and Tifa? Don't they just call that "Tuesday"?

Tuesday? Everyone knows that on Tuesday you're supposed to dress up like Tidus and Yuna. Tuesday. That's rich.

I used to really like FF, but I kinda got put off by Square-Enix pandering to the fans after FFX got less than a warm reception. Plus the fact that the games really are quite intensely queer at times, at least Dragon Quest celebrates it's geekinessm, FF seems to self loathe.
