ETA at 8:30: I could watch three hours of just Vince being Vince. I'd buy a PPV if the whole show was just Vince as Dr. Zaius as Hal Holbrook as Mark Twain.

Rumor has it she just signed a multi-year contract with them. Because she's brought so much to the WWE in terms of her wrestling ability but of course. I agrew tih the Vince statement, he's just so damn fun to watch. I chuckled more times than I would like to admit tonight at him.

I can't believe how much of a crush I have on her.  Great to see a Diva with a personality besides "goody goody" or "bad girl".

**facepalm**

That was such a good show until Cena showed up. Show was giving the promo Brock would have given if he had wanted to work full time and had possessed an adult's grasp of English.

once that lame ass music hits, you know it's time to turn on Pawn Stars.

AJ is seriously the most interesting person on WWE TV right now.  I hope she stays face through No Way Out, because the fans love her crazy ass.  Did you hear the poppage she was getting tonight?

She's really good. She reminded me tonight of Mickie James' excellent turn as Trish's stalker fan, but she was selling it with less microphone histrionics and more in-ring storytelling. I wish there were more genuine wrestlers in the Divas Division for her to run angles with.

RAW was pretty terrible last night. I did pop for Vader but that was all. Vince McMahon came back and did the same exact crap he does all the time. It was nothing new. This whole Kane/Punk/AJ/Bryan feud is ridiculous. Cena vs. Big Show fucking sucks. Cena is so fucking annoying again.

Remember when CM Punk was supposed to change the entire WWE? What happened to that storyline? Now he's in some shitty soap opera storyline with AJ. Yeah, she's really hot and she has been entertaining but I just don't care about on air relationships in wrestling anymore. They ruined a great Punk/Daniel Bryan feud by adding Kane and AJ. Isn't this type of storyline the same exact shit that CM Punk would have said was wrong with the business last summer?

Spoilers for Smackdown sound at once entertaining and groan-inducing.  My plan is to watch hour one and then switch the channel.

It's her at 0:20 and 0:53.  She mentioned this on her Twitter a while back but I'd never seen this vid.  This is from 2000, so she was 13 at the time.

I turned it off.  I know someone who suffers from it, and it's a daily battle.  I just don't understand WWE sometimes.  They pull out this PG crap, and shove it down our throats, then decide to cross the line in the most offensive ways.

Can't show blood, can't say anything worse then what's said on iCarly, but then they poke fun at a guy for having a serious disability.

You'd think with his wife on that wild goose chase known as a Senate run, that he'd be even more inclined not to do stupid shit like this.

I think we've all learned by now that sanity is the only thing you can't expect from Vince.

I didn't find the JR segment deserving of broadcast either, for what it's worth; I just can't be too judgemental toward a sextagenarian who probably suffers from steroid induced brain tumors the size of cats in addition to the apparent late stage syphilitic dementia.

I wonder if Jim Cornette will spit in Vince McMahon's face like he did to Ed Ferrara for Ed making fun of Jim Ross with the whole Oklahoma character. At least Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara realized that was tasteless and apologized to JR. I don't think McMahon gives a shit.

McMahon seems to be putting on a product right now for himself and no one has the balls to say how terrible it is. Triple H probably does but is smart about picking his battles.

agreed, JR hasn't been on air in how long?  WWE usually doesn't recognize anything older then 3 months.

Now now, maybe Vince was doing his impression of JBL and said "JR" by mistake.  Or maybe even Blackjack Mulligan.

So Billy Corgan's promotion Resistance Pro Wrestling was just on local TV over here (since it's based in Chicago). I missed it on TV but it's on youtube and I'm going to definitely check this out.

Some of the matches are Big Van Vader vs. Jay Bradley (this guy Jay Bradley has a ton of potential) and Harry Smith (DH Smith) vs. Rhino in a steel cage (with special guest ref Raven). I should go check this show out live some time.

It's pretty cool that Billy Corgan is into wrestling that much to start his own promotion. I went to the same high school he did and I remember he used to go to all of the WWF and ECW events around here in the late '90s/early '00s.

Speaking of injuries, Chris Sabin tore up his knee the other night. Is that going to make his MCMG partner Alex Shelly head north?

Shelley is already going to the WWE. He finished with TNA in May. Rumor is that he's going to be part of the new cruiserweight show the WWE is going to put on their network (if that ever takes off). Sabin was actually considering following Shelley but whatever plans he had are probably on hold right now.

The three matches from tonight's NO WAY OUT that I'll be checking out later via "free replay" in order of preference:

3. WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: SHEAMUS(c) vs DOLPH ZIGGLER - If this match gets time it will be a very entertaining one as Sheamus has improved greatly over the last couple of months and Ziggler is a talented worker who will bump like crazy for the Celtic Warrior. Should be fun!

2. INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP: CHRISTIAN(c) vs CODY RHODES - If anything this will be a great in-ring clinic by Christian and Rhodes if it gets more than ten minutes. My call for sleeper match of the night.

1. WWE CHAMPIONSHIP: CM PUNK(c) vs DANIEL BRYAN vs KANE - A lot of people think that inserting Kane into this match is a dumb idea but the Big Red Machine has been good in multi-man matches in the past so I expect Punk and Bryan to pull out some tricks to negate him. Either Punk is going to retain or Bryan will finally get the belt, thus setting up the rubber match for MiTB.  If they pull an idiotic swerve and put the belt on Kane I will just laugh at the stupidity and move on.

Does anyone care about JOHN CENA vs BIG SHOW for 133847372712902927272626243321254858574763636th time in a Steel Cage? No? Good.

Apparently if Cena loses, he's fired, which just means he's going to continue to show up every week in an even shabbier version of what he already wears.

If Show loses, Laurinitis is fired, which would take more away from the TV programs than it could ever possibly add. So I'm rooting for Show.

Whomever wins, I want to see weeks of follow-on skits about the now unemployed loser trying to find a job with only a wrassler's limited skill set, a history of fighting coworkers, references that include the only live funkosaurus in captivity and an undead cowboy who is also sometimes a biker, et cetera..

A.J. versus the minds of Bryan, Punk, and Kane ought to be fun, no matter what the outcome is.

I agree that Christian vs Rhodes is likeliy to be the night's best match in terms of actual wrestling, but Ziggler will make his match against Sheamus the highlight in terms of wrasslin'. The distinction is an easy one to miss.

The smart money is on AJ deliberately helping Bryan to win, but I hope they don't pull the trigger on her just yet.  The fun is in her unpredictability, and if she solidly aligns with Bryan, the jig is up.  We know her deal, and she becomes another ol' heel valet.

Just added to the show:

Usos vs O'Neil/Young vs Epico/Primo vs Kidd/Gabriel for no.1 conteder spot for tag team gold tonight.

Tyson Kidd on PPV!  Nice to see Superstars represented on this show.

So Triple H challenged Brock Lesnar. I'm not even interested in this feud really. All the hype surrounding Lesnar is gone after he jobbed to Cena. I wouldn't be surprised if Lesnar jobs to Triple H. Then the WWE can bring back Lesnar again and try and build him up for someone else only to do the job once again. The $5 million jobber.

Not too shabby of a pay per view, WWE has at least had several pay per views in a row with a handful of really special matches.  I only caught the end of Ziggles and Sheamus (7 minutes maybe?), but I liked what I saw. Cody looked extremely impressive during his bout with Christian and I become more and more of a fan with each match, and no one is surprised that the triple threat match delivered.

I gotta also add that AJ is the best thing in the WWE right now because I just don't know what the hell is happening. They're also for once letting the story breathe and not blowing their wad, you become more invested that way instead of their usual 4 week feud and then it's over shtick they usually do. That little smirk over the shoulder of Kane from AJ was pitch perfect. For someone who interjected themselves into the match for 4 seconds, she certainly made a impact. Now if only they would let her compete because she's a pretty solid worker, but that would mean the wwe caring more about the divas, and let's not go down that route.

There's really nowhere pleasant that this can go to after she left with Kane tonight, is there? Best case scenario, her body is found in a meat freezer later. Worst case scenario, he's going to try to father the Antichrist again, and this time Snitsky's not around to abort it.

ETA: Aaaand that ending was garbage. Cena, y u no fired? Don't you have a divorce court to go to? Take some time off, already.

Cena can hold on to a 500-pound man, but he can't hold on to his wife.

AJ's awesome.

I am seriously at the point where I read or do something else during Cena's matches, up until he starts the 5 moves of doom. Anyway, the WWE is pretty much turning into the WCW of the 90s. Annoying, stale main events, with amazing undercard matches. Come the 23rd when they go 3 hours, another seal will have broken.

Anyway, still loving TNA and what they are doing. Some downs for sure, but the ups are getting higher and higher.

I found myself watching almost the entire pay per view before stepping away the second the main event match started. I think I missed it all except the last 2 minutes and I doubt I missed much. I just don't understand why they feel that should be the main event and not the incredible triple threat match. How they treat Punk as second rate is just grating.

I watched at Hooters, and while the majority of the TVs were for WWE, there were a few showing Heat/Thunder.  The sound in the joint was for WWE only, so the few watching the game were watching a muted broadcast.  Keep that in mind.  When the main event started, all the adults turned their attention to the game, while a few kids were screaming for Cena.  I had been watching the WWE TVs the whole time, but when that main event started, my attention drifted to the NBA.  People were more interested in a silent game than a loud WWE broadcast strictly because of the main event.

Cena?  Wait, is that the guy who demanded a match with a ring announcer, then proceeded to strip him naked, beat him up, and pour BBQ sauce on him?  Or the guy who just won a match due to outside interference from 5 guys on his behalf?  Or is it the guy who beat up a man on crutches, then slammed him through a table?

Wait a minute, Cena did all of that!

Basically, this crap is getting bad, really really bad.  Who would have thought, after WM, and the return of Lesnar things would fall this low.  I just read the updates now so I can laugh at how stupid this shit is.  And we complain about TNA overbooking a storyline.  This Johnny Ace, Big Show, Cena, and now McMahon circus is terrible, and it's HEADLINING.  Yes, headlining over the WWE Championship.  Fuck this shit.

Aside from just a few things, the past few weeks of Impact have been the only enjoyable wrestling shows I've been able to watch. The Bischoff/Prichard/Lagana creative team is really stepping up. I like how every show has it's own feel to it. I'm enjoying the roster that TNA has way more than the WWE. While we're stuck with annoying Super Cena once again in the WWE, in TNA we have Aries, Roode, Storm, Bully Ray, Sting, AJ Styles, Kaz & Daniels, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe... all of them have been great recently. I hope they keep it up but TNA just like WWE throughout recent years has shown signs of turning things around and putting out a good product only to disappoint.

Matt Morgan is on his way back to WWE from the looks of things.  Really big fan of his and considering that TNA never pushed him like they were supposed to (only thing I watched TNA for), I guess that influenced him to go back to WWE.  Best case, WWE uses him right, worst case and most likely situation, they don't use him right like in TNA but he gets a  bigger pay day.  Kudos to him.

This is why I watch international/independent wrestling now and the only wrestling show I enjoy is ROH TV.  Wrestling presented in a logical, no bullshit manner much like the old school NWA (Cornette's influence no doubt) with the hard-hitting ROH style makes for a solid hour every week.  ROH's next iPPV "BEST IN THE WORLD 2012" looks like a great followup to BORDER WARS, check it out:

ROH World Champion Kevin Steen defends against Davey Richards

Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin) vs The All Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King)

"The Belfast Bruiser" Fit Finlay vs "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin w/ Truth Martini

ROH World TV Champion Roderick Strong defends against former champion Jay Lethal & "The Sicilian Psychopath" Tommaso Ciampa

"Die Hard" Eddie Edwards vs "Notorious 187" Homicide

Jay & Mark Briscoe vs the Guardians of Truth w/ Truth Martini

Adam Cole vs Kyle O'Reilly

Definitely intrigued by the identity of the "Guardians of Truth" the Briscoes will be going up against. Elgin/Finlay is going to be stiff as hell, for those who haven't seen Michael Elgin in action, he's like a faster, more compact version of "Dr. Death" Steve Williams. He's definitely a future ROH World Champion in the making.

The first thing I thought when I read this was, "How could "WWF Sunday Night Heat" and "WCW Thunder" be showing in a bar in this day and age?" I consider myself basically a 'retired' wrestling fan. I watch it maybe once or twice a year. The rest of the time, I just like to read about what's going on and opinions about it. Just an old habit I can't break out of, I suppose. This just shows what a huge mark it left on my brain. To this day, I still associate these words with wrestling before anything else. Yikes.

Show started great and went to complete hell.  As I said, AJ is a legend and I love her.  Everyone's reactions to her Kane/Harley Quinn get-up were perfect.  Everything else didn't matter.  Also, way to completely blow the payoff for Teddy Long having to suffer under Johnny Ace's tyranny by having him rip the name-tag in a quick throwaway bit at ringside.  That moment deserved much more.

And no Zack Ryder and they were in Long fucking Island?  Da fuq?

I do wonder what black hole Ryder fell into, though it would be funny if neither Eve, Cena, or Kane ever mentioned him again.

Brandon at With Leather gave his prediction on Laurinitis' departure earlier tonight; this guy really ought to be at least on the team of show writers.

On his way out the door, will “Big Johnny” attempt to make good for his many previous wrongs? Or, will he leave Raw in much the same way that he governed it – kicking and screaming?

I hope it’s just Vince stomping out and saying “uhhhh turns out I lost the ability to perform day-to-day actions like firing people last year when I let CM Punk leave WWE with the title, so I guess you still have your job” and then meekly power-walking away.

Lauper looks shockingly good for her age. I had the hots for her in the 80's, so maybe it's just nostalgia goggles... but I'd totally hit that.

Richter on the other hand... the years have not been kind.

AJ has been pretty amusing over the last few weeks, I'll admit.  A great deal of what makes her new "crazy girl" shtick work is in the expressions she uses on other people, so with that in mind I really hope she doesn't wind up with Kane and wearing that mask all the time.  More likely that she's stringing Kane along and tonight was a distraction in order to leave Bryan outgunned - thus getting back at her ex.

I was kind of hoping that she'd start coming onto Sheamus. I could imagine Sheamus being all "WTF, get away skank!" and pushing her.. only to beslapped around by all three of the other guys in the ring who have boners for her.

Are you serious? She looks like a 60 year old dressing like a 15 year old. That was awful.

Anyways, that was a pretty terrible RAW again. I'm trying to really get into this Lesnar/Triple H feud but I really have a feeling that Lesnar will job and bringing him back will have been absolutely pointless.
