I recently read that there is a new diva on her way to WWE and she's a punky (no pun intended or maybe there is) looking girl...so I wonder if she shows up on Punk's arm, AJ gets jealous, and then we have some couple fireworks between the 4.

You're talking about Buggy Nova, yeah they hired her a couple of weeks ago. She's good actually. Wouldn't mind seeing her with Punk, she's more his style than AJ. She's pretty hot too.

I've got a feeling Punk is going to drop the title to Cena on Monday and The Rock will come out after the match and challenge Cena for the title. Maybe at SummerSlam? Cena-Rock II and Lesnar-Triple H. That would be a HUGE show.

It seems more likely to me Eve and the Mizz will interfere in the wedding than Punk. And I hate to type it, but the belt's going back to Cena and he'll be yet again a babyface champ. These are the theories of a long time wrestling fan who has only started watching Raw again after almost two years away from it.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Based off the Smackdown spoilers, I'd put money on Kane being the crasher.

Honestly with the way they've been trying to tie this back to the Miss Elizabeth stuff, that makes sense.  Who is our current George "The Animal" Steele?

The link title says it all. Woe to anyone who actually clicks on it.

Whoa, Big rumour for Heaths Pay off. I tried to stay away, but stupid message boards post the first little bits of the post as a preview.

I'm not gonna spoil it here, you can go find out if you want. If true, I will freak the fuck out, but I will also be a little sad for not the full on surprise

I'm sleep deprived after a long Sunday night working on a term paper; did WWE just acknowledge the existence of Mae Young's disembodied hand baby?

Solid show with a strong hook to get me in there next week.  Not sure if that qualifies as a heel turn or just a face who is sick of being overshadowed by everyone when he's the fucking champion.

Utterly impressed with Punk.  Hope he stays in the thick of things a long long time.

First Raw I've watched in its entirety in many years.  I appreciated that they pulled out the stops and threw in the kitchen sink (Hacksaw?  Hand and Mae?  Doink?  Fuckin DOINK?).  Really enjoyed almost of all this ep.

But, seriously...Doink?

And the return of "enhancement talent".  Someone give Mike Jackson a call.  He'd probably bail on that job as greeter at Lowes and come back to some five-minute-then-squashed-like-a-bug matches.  That guy was the BEST.

And I was disappointed that he seemed so neutered in that segment with Rock/Bryan.  He made up for it.

Rock and the Dead Man.  Woulda been a hell of a night just with those guys showing up.

Now imagine a regular three hour RAW without tons of cameos.

Every week.

I guess I'm just a grumpy, hard to please smark.  I was underwhelmed with it all, for the most part.  Punk came off looking weaker than he should have, despite leaving with the title. Bryan was made a total fool of.  No Stone Cold. Even at 3 hours they couldn't provide longer matches.  The amount of advertisement interruptions was on par with MTV in the 90's, which is bad.  No Stone Cold at all, save a freeking video game rendition of him. J.R. only calls one match. No Stone Cold. Charlie f'n Sheen (literally) phoning it in, as if we believe for a moment than he actually watches RAW. Oh, and no Stone Cold.

I did like:  AJ being named GM, that ought to lead to some interesting things.  A Punk heel turn COULD be a good thing, it's too early to tell how that'll play out.  Lita's boobs. Miz starting on his path to relevancy again (I hope)

I missed the first few minutes of DX reunion due to real life, so I can't really comment on that.

Was it me, or did Taker have trouble getting his hood off, forcing a quick cut away?

Hoodie botch.

Yea, he tried the same flip he did at WM but it got stuck on his baldish head.

I enjoyed this RAW. Got teared up really good at the opening video for sure. All the cameos were perfect for this (Mae Youngs Hand-Son? Who says WWE doesn't pay attention to its storys ;) ) especially the APA.

No Austin sucked tho :(

Hopefully Punk goes full pipe-bomb next week.

Also, I WANT A NEW BELT. Fuck that spinner. Its done. Move on.

Is it bad that I really don't care about Brock/Hunter anymore?

New belt's coming, I would guess as a part of the Punk turn.

I'm 50/50 on the turn, by the way. If they let him be Punk again, great. If this is just because they've run out of heels for Cena to fight, fuck them.

It's telling that the WWE have taken one of the few remaining "dream" matches they have left, and booked all the fun out of it.

That said, that was a superb heel turn. Done well it could be the best in a generation.

six of one, half a dozen of the other most likely.

They will, however push Punk to the moon now. Finally, the champion has come back to the main events.

The only thing I took from that segment was how great Stephanie looks.  Get it, girl!

I had it on but wasn't paying attention as I went in and out of the room but still saw enough that it had my interest.  3 hours each week will be brutal, but for a big event like this it was great.  It was like this weird stream of consciousness that somehow worked.  I'd be walking through the living room and suddenly there's Dude Love!  Or Mae Young's hand-son (right after Hacksaw Jim Duggan goes marching past in his trunks and a 2x4, as I wish he honestly did backstage all the time).  Or Lita shows up and looks like she can get back in the ring and be better than just about every Diva on the roster.

Oh, and I still hate X-Pac.

A recent knee surgery prohibited Austin from traveling. I'm sure he wanted to be there as much as anybody. Some say he should've recorded a video, but I think that would have been even worse. "And that's the bottom line... from my armchair here in Texas!" All or nothing, I say.

I hope Punk doesn't lose all of his current persona via the heel turn. If he starts talking about "you people" next week, I'll be very disappointed. Punk may be the ONLY guy on the active roster who can match Rock's mic skills. I'd hate to see him constrained just because he's not a face anymore.

Oh, and speaking of belt designs, I recently found out that the best looking title in WWE is joke belt no one ever sees on TV (no, not Ryder's):

1000

I don't subscribe to the magazine, so I don't know anything about it, but... that's kinda cool.

If he doesn't turn on the people, he'll get cheered at Summerslam. And we can't have that can we...

It should have been Stone Cold chiming in with post-match commentary on Skype. And that's the bottom line.

Should be cool to see where Punk/Rock feud goes.  With it NOT being Cena, maybe they will finally have THE ROCK be on the mic.

heh. "Punk Rock".

I can't wait to hear what Punk says tonight. He does work much better as a heel. I did enjoy his pipe bomb gimmick but I absolutely loved Straight Edge Society and leader of the Nexus Punk.

Wrestling, at least for now, has gotten interesting at least through SummerSlam. A heel Punk vs. babyface Cena and Lesnar/Triple H should be great feuds/matches.

AJ in a business suit... she's still very sexy but I like slutty/grunge AJ in a skirt and converse shoes.

The second that I heard that AW rape joke, I knew that shit was about to hit the fan.  I'm glad that WWE apologized, because the shit wasn't funny, and favorably comparing anyone, even a heel, to a rape situation is uncool.

What was the rape joke? I was watching, but I didn't catch it.

This has been a good raw so far. Punk killed it in the opening promo and they've given a lot of time to the matches, which is a good thing imo.

And I care about Brock vs HHH, because I'm a Lesnar mark. I wish he'd wrestle more though.

He said "Titus is like Kobe Bryant at a hotel in colorado. He is unstoppable." I guess I didn't make the connection until they apologized and then it clicked. I missed the first hour of RAW sadly as my DVR didn't tape but the Bryan and Sheamus match was great, .and from what I heard CM Punk's promo was really strong. Also enjoyed the Punk's remarks to Cena, he certainly speaks the truth. The amount of social media mentions and commercials is astounding though, it's already feeling a bit much.

They recapped HHH/Lesnar at least four times with a five-minute video package every time.

Well, they have 3 hours to fill and god forbid they might put on more wrestling matches or anything.

I'll be very, very curious to see if there's any backstage fallout over that Kobe joke.

Three hours and Divas still don't see the light of day.

Hope the GM role doesn't neuter AJ's zaniness, because she was pretty predictable tonight.  Her whole appeal is being a wild card.  We'll see.  And was I the only one picking up some sexual tension off of that final moment with Punk and AJ?  She was giving him some pretty heavy fuck-me eyes for a moment.

Surprisingly great Raw. Three long matches, two of which were very good. Punk is rocking in his new role.

And in other news, Davey Richards and friends are massive, awful pieces of shit.

It was a lot better than I expected. Let's see if they can keep it up. However, with that being said I have no interest in sitting through SmackDown anymore. 3 hours of WWE is enough for me. I'll continue to read the spoilers and DVR it if it's any good.

Eh looking back, it was ok. Despite Bryan's annoying segments, the more Bryan the better. Always love Punk so that's never a question, and he was golden on commentary. However, there still wasn't really anything done that makes me antsy about next week or Summerslam (yay a triple threat match that I have no want to see at all). I still want more matches, this is wrestling, you can try to take it out of the name as much as you want, but at the end of the day, I want oiled men (and women, don't forget, you still have divas) doing suplexes. It's funny that we consider 2 very good matches to be a great RAW. How about you give me 5 really good matches? Hell, maybe a diva's match or at least a backstage segment. You certainly have the talent, and you have the time. If you would stop showing me that Triple H Brock preview 12 times in a row. Also, I could care less about that match now too. No buildup, Triple H and Stephanie come off as complete bullies, and you've destroyed Lesnar's appeal by losing to Cena for no reason.

Im willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for the moment. They needed to fill the show with Recaps because they don't have enough feuds yet to sustain a 3 hour show. I'm hoping that with the negative feedback regarding the wasted moments, they will start expanding with their roster. Lets see a faction or two messing around with the mid-card, longer matches (which they seem to be going towards which is great), and more indepth stuff on the feuds going on now.

Loved Punk on commentary, and its nice to see him poking King back out of the coma he went into when JR left. I saw a little life last week two when JR was there, but he left and it died again. King can be good, but he needs a fire in his belly for it, and to get that he needs to be poked and prodded. Loved his 'Compared to the Rock, you couldn't electrify a fish bowl with a toaster'.

Ha ha, that was the only thing I remembered from that commentary from Lawler.  I thought that was pretty funny.

I really hope they play up the "AJ being afraid of being committed" angle.  I thought that was interesting when she said she was scared of the guys in white.

Did she ever say she was actually afraid of them?  I remember her mentioning that she saw them backstage, but I don't think she ever said she was scared of them.

Besides, from what I saw on Monday, she's not even crazy anymore.

I think the idea was that she saw them and realized Bryan was going to have her committed so she dumped him at the altar. or something. Geh I'm so sick of half-baked ideas sort of making it on screen. Reports say her first order of business was to give the Rock his shot at RR but cut it due to time.

You'd think a billion dollar company could learn how to tell time and not over pack their shit
